Symon tries to rest and recover, mumbling a few quiet prayers to Bahamut for a speedy recovery. It's pretty obvious that he's anxious to get going though.

((I dunno. It's not like Symon can really talk to anybody so I'm just twiddling my thumbs here I guess.))
((Thyra is at your side and relieved you're awake. You can try talking to her if you got the guts. Her face isn't as red as it was when Karl walked in.

As for you others, give me an hour to get home))

((Like I said, Symon can't really talk to anybody. Especially not Thyra. :P

But if she wants to chat Symon will probably respond. You should know how much trouble he has starting a conversation with her.))

((Potion Shop!!!))
You walk into the apothecary again and ask for his inventory on potions. He gives you a list:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

He says he's low on stock right now.

Karl thumps a pouch heavy with coin down on the table. "fairly serious, actually." He says bluntly.

Karl shakes his head firmly at the Ebon Armor enchantment, having no desire to imbue the armor of his order with necromantic energies.

"The results of the two identifications, the black iron enchantment for me, the anti-undead cloth armor for Weston, and the avenger's enchantment for the flail. That's a good amount of work straight away, and paid immediately. Perhaps you could throw in a few runes of accuracy and power to the flail to close the deal?"

Karl uses diplomacy to attempt to persuade him to enchant Symon's flail to +1 as part of the work package.

((I'm not sure what you meant with the percentages there, highmax. Weston rolled high, so they're in our favor, but I'm not sure how they translate to the cost of the enchantments. If they only cover identification, they Karl will use diplomacy to haggle the enchantment prices, and I assume Weston will Aid Another on the process.

Either way, Karl will have everything done and pay for the work on Symon's flail from Symon's share, and the identifications and his armor from his share.

After we're done here, Karl will also arrange with the smith to have Symon's flail silvered. Either doing the work himself and renting the forge, trading work for work with the blacksmith or simply paying for the service, whatever is most practical.

I think that should cover me until tomorrow morning. :) ))
((The rate is 10% of the items value for him to assess what it does. He reduced this for you to 7.5%. I rushed that update a bit, I appologize. 112gp 5 silver for the shield and 43gp 5 silver for the dagger))

The enchanter laughs a bit.

"Most Ebon armor was used by death knights that were slain. Not something for a paladin like yourself would use..."

The armor he says at first is 790gp (You'll have to take it off and wear your regular clothes), the cloth gear will cost 520gp initially, and the flail will cost 815gp at first. ((Its a +1 weapon of oaths fulfilled anyway, no diplomacy on your end for that)) You try to sweeten the deal a bit with some words. (7+9) You find your statement a little lacking, but it makes the prices a LITTLE better. He offers you the black Iron enchantment for 730gp, the cloth gear for 480 and the flail for 765gp (50gp off everything). He says he won't go any lower so you take the deal. You pay 946gp total for your stuff.

The dagger gives a +2 to AC against opportunity attacks granted by throwing the dagger. You can use its daily power as a free action to not take an opportunity attack with the dagger. The shield works whenever you heal an ally: when an ally next to you regains hitpoints, as a free action, use the power of the shield to have them regain extra hp as if they spent a healing surge. You also gain a +4 to all defenses when charging while equipped with this shield.

Weston gets his cloth armor for a good price and equips it as soon as he has the privacy to do so. Because Symon didn't grab his part from the big selling, you use his money to get the enchantment done. Karl now owes Symon 265gp from his share.

((I'll take the Blacksmithing point))

Nadarr, if he's with the others, asks what he could do that would befit a wizard, and quickly runs through the items he possesses

If not with the others, he looks for a magic shop.

You find the enchanter and he asks what are you looking for? A staff? An orb? Some new robes? Gloves? A cloak? A rod? A wand? Some magical boots? A special belt? He says there are MANY things that benefit wizards.

Nadarr nods curtly.
What do you have that would prove...deathly for the undead?

He says that the only thing he really has for you that would work, you appear to already have (staff of light). Was there anything else you wanted?

Nadarr starts getting impatient

Can I see your cloaks and orbs, then?

Fetch me two potions of cure light wounds then!

Afterwards, get into a magical shop for rings/amulets. Ask for anything that increases chance to hit or increases AC passively. Alternatively, just show me the wares.

Karl goes somewhere private and changes out of his armor and waits at the shop while the work is being done. As Nadarr and later Alexander wander in, Karl remains on hand to help with negotiations. Once everyone is done, he'll head to the blacksmith to see about getting Symon's flail silvered. ((As per the above on methods.))

Once everything is done, Karl will make sure to settle accounts with Symon. The young avenger probably wouldn't care either way, but Karl has no intention of cheating him.

The enchanter says judging from looking at you, he pulls up a badge:

"Ha! You know your stuff, my good man! How much would it be?"

Use diplomacy to chat with the enchanter and try to increase our relationship and get a better deal.

Check what other useful magical things there are for me.

(7+3) (10+9) Karl makes a better argument on your behalf and he cuts you a deal. He'll give it to you for 470gp.

Ask about the price of the Cloak of the Walking Wounded and the Orb of Fiery Condemnation. Haggle it down to the lowest possible price, but if affordable buy it in the end.
