"Potions of healing, my good sir. Do you have any of them? I would like to see all the kinds you have."
One of the caravan drivers comes to give you a hand with that and pulls out a literal, potion of healing (50gp).
"I'll have two of them, dear sir. We are indeed headed towards the Small Teeth. What is the cause of your reaction, might you tell us?"
Says Aurel while inspecting the potion.
There are some fell things in the mountains... Some say elves, some say werewolves... Some say goblin-" He pauses for a moment after he sees/remember's Grot and then continues, "Orcs and other nasties. But nothing compared to what we seen... There were these shadows in the night... You see six wagons, but there were ten to begin with. Two were taken by these things in the night, and we found them the next night butchered. If you value your life, I'd wait until someone dealt with them. I might find some help in the capital or maybe Crimmor, but I'll need to hire an army; these things are deadly and unrelenting. If you want my advice; don't EVER let your fires go out in the night, don't stumble out of the light after dark, and if you can, seek shelter in a cave or a town. The nearest to here is the capital, but where you're headed is after the mountains, in Murann. Its a small city, but it'll keep you safe.
I won't try and stop you from going through, but heed my advice. You also might want to buy some torches and rope as to keep the nasties at bay. What exactly are you doing to be so foolhardy as to traverse the mountains anyway?"
You buy two potions as he says the above.
The other guards and caravan drivers help with the other party members.
Grot buys some trail rations and some socks.... Rather, the more tattered ones... And also some rope and other gear he might need. No other baubles catch his eye however. One merchant begins to play a flute and Grot immediatley asks for it and starts trying to play (?) its awful and the dwarf quickly tries to teach him how to play.
Do you have daggers for sale?
A wagon driver nods with a grin. "Daggers of the finest craftsmanship!" (1gold each, max of 200)
I will have two potions of healing too, and those pants please. A blessing on the farsightedness of dwarves!
The caravan guard tosses you the pants and hands you the potions.

Ask what wares they have which befit a wizard
They have nice rings, amulets and cloaks. You can only afford an amulet of protection +1 (360gp) (+1 to will/fort/reflex)
How many potions of healing do you have? I'd like a pair myself."
"Enough. Lets just say our alchemist went a little overboard and one of our recently sacked caravans held nothing BUT potions. A terrible loss. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll pass by and find a few undamaged ones. No one will want them, and the night creatures broke a lot during the raid."
