After Kari has not returned for an hour since the man stumbled into the cave, Erils picks up his bow and looks out at the rain.

"Someone should probably make sure that Kari is okay out there. I'll see if she's within earshot, but I won't go too far from the cave."

Erils shuffles out of the cave, feeling the rain, and then walks for a minute straight into the forest. Erils stops under the cover of a tree, glancing around at the rain and trees around him. He glances back in the direction of the cave, trying to spot the light from the fire. Erils rubs his with his hands quickly to try and warm them up. Erils then cups his hands around his mouth and calls out into the forest.

"KARI! CAN YOU HEAR ME? COME BACK TO THE CAVE!"

Erils drops his hands from his mouth and looks around to see if anything has changed in the scenery around him. Erils keeps looking into the woods and around himself and waits to see if he hears a response...or anything else.

"I've been here with this torch, if she can't see it she may be out of earshot. No point in getting someone else lost though, especially if she really isn't too far away."

Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.

Baffler likes silver, walnut trees, the color green, tanzanite, and dogs for their loyalty. When possible he prefers to consume beef, iced tea, and cornbread. He absolutely detests ticks.

"As long as we keep a fire going, she should be able to see it through the dark...if she's close enough. Do you think Bogeymen might be here? I hope not."

"No use worrying. If they exist, we sure don't want to go blundering out to find Kari."

[GreatWyrmGold] gets a little crown. May it forever be his mark of Cain; let no one argue pointless subjects with him lest they receive the same.

Kari's ears prick up. "Was that someone shouting?" Heading towards the voice, she stumbles upon Erils after a few minutes of stumbling through the undergrowth.

"OH! Hi Erils. Were you looking for me?"

"Well, that was anticlimactic.  We thought you'd been violently eviscerated by some horrible beast or oher."

"The stranger's friend stumbled upon the cave just a short while after you left. We wanted to make sure that you weren't lost or killed or anything."

"Oh! Thanks guys, but if that was about to happen you would probably have heard my scream. Plus, i'm a pretty fast runner so i would have shot back here as fast as my legs can take me. I went quite far, but not far enough to lose sight of the cave."

Cish and Rakbin had been talking for an hour, occasionally gesturing towards the others and laughing or shrugging. Rakbin, now mostly dry, still seemed a bit pale after sitting next to the fire for so long, and was starting to sniffle considerably.

((thats probably the best way for someone to leave. That way they leave and it adds to the story.))
