Kari shakes her head.

"I dont think that would work, Rad".

Just then, a notion jumped into her head.

"Hang on, do we even know what language other people in the world may speak? Do the residents of the DF world speak English?"

Zanzetkuken thought for a moment, before having a minor shudder at a thought before voicing it aloud.  "What if we are speaking their language, but our minds our parsing it to English..."

"We could try writing something in the ground, see if it comes out as English or something else? We may still read it like English, but it wouldn't look like English..."

Kari thought for a moment.

"Sort of like Stargate SG-1, where the humans on other worlds spoke perfect English but their writing was alien".

"Who wants to try it out? Oh, and we'd have to, you know, write words. Dwarves use basically the same alphabet as humans."

((Also, what GM wants to make a ruling on what would happen?))

"Yes, Dwarves. Do you see any dwarves around here? With the exception of me and Erils who are elves, you lot are all DF humans. Now, i am not the oldest or the best player of DF so i dont know, what alphabets do the humans and elves of DF use?"

Kari sighs.

"We aren't getting anywhere. We'll try it later once this thing is built."

"Same script, different language. Like English and Spanish...except more different, so like English and Pig Portuguese. And for all we know, we're speaking Dwarvish without realizing it."
