((Also, I might continue the tale of Unfortunate Bob if people don't hate it too much/OP's ok with it.))
(Considering how effects of my half that was sent into the game during the original game caused links between
every DF universe to exist, you could continue it to the point that he arrives at our fort!)
(Just mark it down to me being mentally disturbed by a bug in the game.)
(Your character could have gained the ability to see into other realities in his transfer. You could have been split like I was, but your other part was too small to not survive. That means it will need to be fairly weak, since not much would have been spliced off, but it could prove useful!)
((Also, how will it be decided when stuff comes at us? When will more animals move in, and things generally change? Obviously, we can't really deal with very much right now without DF FYSICS, but still- how is it decided when stuff arrives to up the challenge? Who decides when it rains? OP?))
(HugoLuman. He's been designated [quasi]RNG.)
(Going to consider it already having skipped to morning.)
Zanzetkuken awoke upon the backboard of the wagon. It wasn't the best sleep he had ever gotten, but it also wasn't the worst. He climbed up into the supplies, and after taking count to make sure that nothing had been taken, he mentally ran down the list of the seeds they had, trying to compare them to plants he knew of.
'
The longland grass might be this place's equivalent of barley. I wish I had learned how to tend to that, but it wouldn't have been practical to do that in the garden.
Plump helmets might be like morels, but I can't be sure until they are grown. They are able to be eaten raw, so they could be similar to 'button mushrooms'.
Pig tails could prove to be similar to Ramie, unless races have developed the required techniques and it is hemp. Oh god, I hope it isn't like that. Someone might try to smoke it, and a stoned fortress would not be a good thing.
Quarry bushes could grow some form of underground berry. At least I will be in familiar territory with that and the wild strawberries.
Might as well get to work on setting up that farm.'
His mind wandered for a second, recalling the events of the previous day. He then remembered what he had said last night and voiced, "Hey, we need to determine who will be the essential nobles. I had three years of accounting, so I could do some work as the bookkeeper. Really, I've already done the work for that, since I totaled everything we had in the wagon yesterday."
"so did toady sell us to Armok or did he pay to get rid of us?"
"Maybe someone hacked the site and planted something."
