(But I don't actually understand the meaning of the post.  What does 'dig out beds' even mean?  Where?  Should I roleplay confusion at what my fellow survivor is trying to do?)

...what exactly does that mean?  Dig out rock with bed-shaped bits left sticking up?
no I mean digging small holes in the walls and using them beds

I offer aid to anyome making a workshop or digging out things underground, save for digging out beds.  I mean, seriously.
