((How many people are going to be allowed to join in here?))

Character sheet:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I wake up suddenly, with a scream of 'NOT THE CHEESE!'.  Once the initial, generic confusion has passed, I look around for something to do.

''Er... Hey, guys.  Does anyone need help with anything?  If not, I'll just start dragging these bear corpses over to the site of the butcher's shop.  ...So, what are our long-term plans?  We'd better make them now, you know.''

((Actually, what's the state of the butcher shop?  Someone should make a map of the entire area.  I'd be willing to do it if no-one else wants to.  In-game, I'd just be scrathing it into the dirt with a stick, I guess.  xD)

((The butcher's shop is just about complete. Only a few more hours? I was labor, not management.

There was a map for a while, but we haven't really changed anything in the cave since we wheeled the wagon in so it was ignored.))

((I meant a map of outside.  It'd be useful to define some things, for consistency and posterity.  Otherwise, people will just change distamces and add new features as they come up with them.))

Well, I start hauling a bear carcass.  Should take about an hour each.

(It is more of a tradition that the map is more understood of an abstract idea than anything else.  The butcher shop is a couple meters from the entrance to the (formerly) bear cave, and there is a nearby forest and pond.  Since there aren't any penalties for wandering around the fortress, it doesn't really matter for distances.  The only thing a distance is needed to be truly understood from is for features outside of the fortress map, but there can't be one made, since no one has started exploring, or there hasn't been any contact yet.  New features are only a problem early on, with the longer the fortress having been around, the more accepted they are if those features are required.  Anything like megaprojects would be defined as having been constructed over a period of time, so there couldn't be any confusion there.)

(Fair enough.  Is the idea of keeping things abstract extended to, say, the contents of the caravan?  Are we allowed to take inventory of that?  I get the impression we wouldn't be allowed to define the outside world too much- at least not without your permission, but right now it seems like anyone can just 'find' whatever they need, to a certain extent, in the caravan.  TL;DR:  are we allowed to lock the fort inventory stuff down by defining what we do and don't have?  Am I allowed to become a bookkeeper?  Of course, you'd decide what we actually have, being the GM...  Sorry for not knowing what's going on ._.)

((I was referring to Zan.  GM is the best word I have for it... OP, then?  He has the most individual authority of all of us, is what I thought.  Eh.  If I'm wrong about that, too, then the question's directed at the hivemind '._.))

(My character is currently doing inventory, so this is soon going to be abated.)

((Is there a GM? I thought this was more freeform.))

(Kind of, I know more about the outside events, so I could be classified as one for knowing when various 'random' events should occur, and more details about some of the opponents, so I could know when they act, but that is it.  Hugo's probably going to be coming in from time to time to do the same thing, and possibly control a couple NPC's from time to time.)

(However, since individual plotlines will develop, each person will be the GM of their own little plotline, though you may want to contact me or (possibly) Hugo to see if we can help get it tied into the main plotline.)

(Also, after taking a glance through the old thread, I seem to find we may be a bit lacking on the descriptive side in comparison to the old thread(s).

(I'm just going to skip two hours.  I think everyone is performing actions right now.)

-2 hours pass-

Night begins to fall and everyone heads into the cave.  The lower torch has been moved up to the upper level to provide more light, though the torches are dimming.

"Well, I've finished taking stock of what we have," Zanzetkuken says to the now 10 humans who had been taken into the game, one still remaining unconcious (Elephant Parade).

Spoiler: Wagon Supply List (click to show/hide)

"The meat we have in the barrels is going to last awhile, but that meat from the bears, and the berries, might not last that long with food decay having been added.  I might be able to set-up a farm, but the lack of animals would make things difficult to break the ground.  I am a fairly decent fisherman, though it was fly rather than bait fishing.  Unless there are morels, I can't help at all with gathering."

"I accidentally caught a fish with this bucket. If I could replicate the feat, I might be able to help with food gathering. Other than that..."
