I take a bucket and head to a large pond. At a couple dozen feet across, one could almost argue it is a very small, shallow lake. I take a scoop of the water, sip it, and drop the bucket after a fish thrashes at me.
"...Well. We should get a well soon, but this works for now."
I bring the bucket, fish and all, back.
"Hey, I caught dinner. For one of us."

After your several minutes of hard work, it suddenly strikes you just how real this all is. Your arms and backs begin to ache from the work of chopping and mining. You begin to feel pangs in your stomachs, for the meat you have yet to prepare. The self-inflicted cut is stinging rather insistently. You can smell the earth, the stench of Bear in the cave, and the blood. As the surreality of your predicament wears off, you begin to realize you are a very, very long way from home.
