(What is a butcher's shop, exactly, and what skills are involved in making one? If it's just a clean stone slab where you can safely chop stuff up, then I'd imagine masonry.)

(I don't know why anyone bothered gathering the remains of that mail shirt. It mostly crumbled and mixed with the soil, leaving only ittty bitty broken bits of rust. Not sure there's even a bar's worth.)

(It was made of wood, so carpentry.)

Cado looks at the dust and dirt all over his still drying clothes and sighs. He jumps in the lake again, then grabs a set of male leaf clothing and changes behind a tree before leaving his clothes and shoes in the sun to dry.

"This feels so wrong knowing how these were made..." he mutters as he goes back to working on the carpentry workshop.

((Fun fact, above ground villages with 50 dwarf limit and invaders off on a 6x6 map are my favorite forts to play.))

(I'll imagine you'll need to keep warm, yes. But in all honesty do any of you know how to actually work metal? Even just melting iron isn't as easy as heating it up.)

"That was hard work...." Kari pants.

Taking a short rest, she drinks from their local water source. 'Right, what needs doing, hmmmm?'

Looking around she see that the carpentry 'workshop' is still only partly built and only two people are working on it. 'They could use some help'

Looking around further, she sees that there are animals in need to processing. 'Messy work....Will probably need to make new clothes afterwards....hmmm'

"Choices...choices...." She mutters. "Might as well help with construction again".

Kari helps build the carpentry workshop.

((Cado, who said there would be no invasions of our little settlement? I think what we should do once we have our basic farms and workshops up is to hollow out that hill and turn it into a defensible residential area with food stores in there.

And by the way, are humans and elves biologically compatible?))

Cado gives Kari a nod for the help, blushing slightly for previous reasons. He tries to just focus on the construction.

Kari winks at Cado but carries on as if nothing happened.

"Lets get this built, shall we?"

Cado nods, shaking his head at the wink with a smile.

(Fantasy-Interracial blood transfusions sounds like it will require some Science...)

At that moment, the wind picked up, blowing leaves up into the air. Over the chilly breeze, quite distant, a faint boom of thunder could be heard.
