(( To be fair I did make that mistake at first lol, luckily I'm a marine so I have no [2] to mix up . Besides we all know in the world of mecha only the melee fighters will survive. Seriously watch Gundam lol, the best ones are always the ones that get up close and personal the shooters just get cut in half.  ))

((I think it's more because the shooters were mostly faceless mooks whereas the melee guys were actual characters. Plot armour triumphs over everything.))
