Wow, I'm 706 NP in and I'm still on

making glass blocks and chips, should I be putting all of the sand I can into that like I have been or should I save up for the upgrades I have available to buy?

Thing is, I'm working on that infrastructure now. I get something like 70 glass blocks/NP and 1500 chips. I focused on castle and sand production mainly, getting the Swedish/Redundakitty upgrades helps supercharge your production.

I accidentally found that the Logicat upgrade will do more wonders than farming those blocks/NP. One of the first unlocks from it is a 'locked box' that will give you 1250 glass blocks.

Of course, with Redundakitty upgrades being as ridiculous as they are at this point where I am, I can get hundreds of glass blocks and 1.0+31E castles per Redundakitty.


General rule: If you see the upgrade, buy it when you can. Especially the colored ones.

Do you have to do the molpy down at 3 NP for those upgrades? I didn't do it because I was way too far in when I learned about it but if it gimped me that much I think I might just have to do it anyways.

The first swedish upgrade should appear after you buy the bag pun [100 bags required, or something] upgrade and get something like 100 puns. ALL of the 'x, JA!' upgrades are critical to be able to progress so far as I've found. Soon as you get Vitsaggen, Ja! every 100 clicks will create a hell of a lot of castles, which increases as it triggers. Then there's an upgrade to THAT which squares the reward.

Get all your tools to atleast 100 each and if there's any upgrades you don't have, get them all. You might not have to molpy down at the point you are, you can wait for a temporal rift and not miss out on much I think.

Oh, I hadn't bought that one because it was super expensive. I'll turn my furnaces off and save for it that upgrade then.

I had no idea what they were myself. It's a Logicat-produced thingy and will hurt your head if you begin to fiddle around with it. If you don't know what Logicats are, then don't worry until you do. Its not particularly needed at the point where you are.

Badges mainly and hidden unlocks are the point, some things from the time-travel stuff makes it so you can increase castle build rate according to how many castles you've lost during Molpy downs, but I found it's negligible. The badges and unlocks are what is most important. I think you get something like 2 just for the act of Molpying down. And badges increase your dig rate with upgrades.

And I don't mean 'increase' in the normal way. Unfettered my bonus sand production multiplier is something like 20,000% higher with 100 badges.

If you're at the judgement dip, I'm going to give you advice: Let it get worse. Boost unlocks during the judgement dip, with one of the best ones only appearing at Dip level 12. Basically, I want you to go AFK once you get the judgement dip until all the judgement dip upgrades are unlocked. You'll know which ones are which because they're in the cybernetics group, titled 'xbot' [Luggagebot, Flingbot, etc], 10 of them altogether. They each double NPB castles, and multiply their corresponding tool output by the amount of NPBs you have. With these all unlocked your progress is supercharged.

Once you get those you should be able to buy a thing called the 'Navigation code' which drops NPB castles by 99.9%, but with the judgement dip upgrades your other tools will be massively outproducing what you had before that.

Don't screw with the glass chip stuff until you have to. It's alot of castles you have to spend eventually and I recommend getting everything going swimmingly. I didn't mess with the chips/blocks until about a week ago. Even doing it early doesn't help I've found, best to just get the basic part setup and put it on the backburner. Right now in my game the most important thing is blocks after I've gotten to ridiculous [1.0e+40 +] amounts of sand and castles.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Your bucket count? Nothing should be deleting buckets. There's only one upgrade/mechanic I know of that destroys tools and its the Judgement Dip when you buy the Bag Burning upgrade.

I started it up while I was going through the J-Dip.  Once you start getting significant sand per click, you 1) don't need the sand getting castles 2) can get what you need from clicking, especially blitzing.  I say get it started because it's exponential growth you start early. You want plenty of blocks for the things you spend blocks on.

Your block production will not amount to squat until much later.

The first glass chiller upgrade is 80 blocks, or 80 hours at default production value [redunakitties can give you 1 block sometimes as well]. Which after that costs 5 blocks per upgrade.

Focus on the swedish upgrades and the redunakitty stuff and you'll get to the logicat which eventually produces a box of 1250 blocks as its first unlock, enough to setup a real production of blocks and chips but trust me, sitting there waiting for the next 20 chips and 1 block/hour isn't what you're going to want to do.

Sand production is critical once you get factory automation. Added with Blast furnace/Crossfeed this turns all sand into castles when activated, which can make more castles than you've seen before that point.

You also can't have your sand+block production use more sand than you make, so you can't spam that stuff before you get to where you can build the 95 block 'Sand purifier' upgrade.

So, once again, ignore those things until you get to Logicat and such. You'll realize you're wasting your time doing that stuff if you get that big batch of free blocks after waiting 3 days for one upgrade.. I know I did.

Everything is useful eventually, sometimes they just show up too early to be of true value. I think it's part of the developers game. And chips are a tool to gaining other things, not necessarily important in early game at all actually.

I suppose.  Can the crate make you go over your max storage?  Also, I didn't get Logicat until I had decent progress on my glass, so if you're fast to Logicat it may be simpler to wait.

I haven't done it yet, and I think I missed when I should have.

Progress is a bit hard to nail down, of course, but I've got Logicat 18, Ceiling 0-9, and my 332 waves make 1.17e+66 castles each.  Am I too late, or should I go ahead and fire it off?  I have both Fractal upgrades (the 60 and 120 ones- my level as of right this second is 286.)


EDIT- I do have time travel unlocked.
