Shops of Xeonia - Development in progress

Hey fellow Bay12ers!

I've recently been attempting to create a game with an idea that I have been tossing back an forth in my head for quite some time, managing your own medevil/fantasy shop (Yes, I know Reccettear is similar but I wanted something than involves a lot more simulation to it than just that) So I set out an endeavor to make my idea come true. Currently I have been working quite a bit on it and am hoping to get a prototype of it done rather soon. Right now I'm just curious if anyone here had any interest in this sort of game, it definitely would be a lot of help if once the prototype is done that you guys can give me feedback/ideas/bug reports. 

Currently I have a couple ideas outlined that I have planned for the future.

Ideas:

- Dynamic generation of the cities you can set up shop in, each with their own distinct traits and trading capabilities as well as the amount of poverty that city has, etc.

- Expeditions and exploring; Learning about a new set of lands in the kingdom, allowing you to fund or support a trade partner in exploring the new land, hopefully finding new sources of resources as well as completely new resources.

- Start out small, work your way up to a trading empire, using intrigue to reach into the court of the kingdom and manipulating them from the inside to do actions that would cause your profits to increase, even starting a war between two empires, just because you have a monopoly on the weapons industry.

I have plenty more idea's, along with ways to implement them.

Let me know if you guys are intrigued by the idea and throw your suggestions at me. :)

Sounds interesting to me.

What kind of framework or game style are you thinking?

Also, what language are you going to make this in?

What kind of framework or game style are you thinking?

Also, what language are you going to make this in?

1. Currently Its being done in Winforms (Yes, not very professional but it gets the job done and has nice flexibility.) which means it will probably end up running like a spreadsheet simulator. I am hoping that I'll ditch that method eventually and end up with a more graphical nature, maybe with an ASCII Interface mixed with a form GUI.

2. Its being done in C# with a nice helping of Linq to XML, might even consider the use of Python if I plan on getting rid of Winforms eventually.

Little update: I decided to switch over from Winforms to a console based application. (Inspired by Liberal Crime Squad)

And I plan on having the first alpha version out within the week! Give or take, depending if I hit a roadblock in design/code.
