Nah, we need to go the other way.

Single 43.

Let's expand the selection a bit. The creature is already a terrifying tentacled bear trap, so it's not like we have a good reason to push it down any particular road; we should start broadening its abilities now. Let's hope we hit some 'leg development' along the way.

Single doses of 43 and 39.

One thing we'll need to figure out at some point if multiple smaller doses are equal to one large dose- for example, is three singles of a chemical equal to a triple of that chemical?

If so, what if we go past three doses worth of a single chemical?

I'm against that course of experimentation. Three doses have extreme consequences already; so extreme, in fact, that they border on life-threatening. The fourth dose will probably just ruin the awesomeness of the previous three.

You're probably right.  Too bad we don't have a spare or three.

Maybe we should try getting a male and a female so we can mass-produce these things.

Unless we make it autogamic. We have the technology.

Hey, I know what to do when it reaches adolescence: we should give it a double dose of the formula number 34.
This would ensure that there'd be porn of this beast somewhere already, but since the researcher is the only person aware of its existence and he's too busy doing science to draw tentacle bear trap bug porn, the only conclusion is that its very existence is porn. Therefore, it has to be capable of reproducing with itself.
There's no way this plan could backfire!

The finished version of the system this comes from has breeding.  And it has effects far beyond simply getting more creatures.

And fighting your created monsters against other people's created monsters.

The creature becomes immune to the chemicals after 3 doses at any point in their life cycle.

It looks like single dose 43 was the only thing that came up more then once.

This injection causes the creature's abdomen to elongate slightly and grow thin, transparent scales.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Single 39 double 47 eh?

The first injection causes the creature's small black eyes to lighten to a lime green and glow ever so slightly.

The second injection causes several of what appear to be human eyes to sprout erratically across the creature's face upper thorax like zits.

The creature is starting to grow pale and sickly.

Night vision and just plain ol' eyes. Is someone recording this?
