If you've played her, the messages you get make it quite clear exactly what she thinks about the rest of the crew - and it's not nice things. Of course, there's plenty of different ways to play all the characters, which is part of what makes them so great.

Well this MMM jump looks much better than my last, except aggressive Spanish Roland and walls of text to read through haha.

I'm seconding the prevalence of Jerk Su. I'm starting the think that the key first step of any Daedalus expedition is to boot Jin Su out the airlock.

I was really confused reading that at first, since I also play Jin Su and it sounded like I was reading myself. :P

Having you collected the post-it note stack and started leaving regular "Motivational Reminders" and "Inspirational Messages" around everywhere?

Oh my god I am totally going to do that now. Thank you for that idea.

I find that as Paola, I can relay the objectives much easier then anyone can with how the chat system works...  The problem is, I have to dig through everything.

Lol, are we on the same ship? I've got a Jin Su who does that XD

I've had people comment when they noticed me doing it how great an idea it was, so I'm sure the idea is spreading - and at least some other Jin Sus must have come up with it on its own!

I was inspired by the story of Janice leaving notes on her "patients" everywhere a while back, and I thought it sounded like fun so gave it a Jin Su twist.

Well, first game and Chun decides to commit suicide in the lab where I was idling.  Chao says she either overdosed or I used Mush voodoo to bring her death along.  Along with Stephen cooking most of the food in the two days, things are looking very promising for my little pacifist.  I expect I'll be giving a new ship a try very soon.

Assuming you're playing to win (not griefing, not playing against your team), then a new ship is often a great goodness.  Something was wrong with your old ship -either it had bad problems, bad enough to kill you, or you had won, and it was time to hug everyone in the [AP] thread and move on.

In your new ship, maybe it'll be better - very likely at least the problems will be different.  And you can start a new one as soon as you finish dying - good times can start again immediately if you want.

Nobody just simply commits suicide.  There are reasons/causes behind it.  Though, I guess if a player did give up, they'd subtly speed the morale loss along and not take any effort to get Janice to fix that.

Well, it appears that Chun grabbed pills before the medlab was done, so no idea as to what she ODed on.  On the bright side though, we've got both gas and serum researched and all 5 hydropots have banana trees in them.  I feel like I've done my job well at least.

...how hard is it to win if:
1. The mush doesn't even try?
2. Nobody onboard is a griefer?

This is a masterwork ledger.  It contains 3719356 pages on the topic of the precise number and location of stones in Spindlybrooks.  In the text, the dwarves are hauling.
"And here is where we get the undead unicorns. Stop looking at me that way, you should have seen the zombie deer running around last week!"

Tnx

I got to 15 days on a ship when one Mush transformed right away (a player who didn't want to be mush), and the other Mush was found on day 2.  We had several idle people but no griefers, ended up going to Sol with 10 actives.

Entirely up to RNG and the activity/skills/composition of your crew.

Don't have enough Pilots?  You will not make it long past day 10.  Pilots are so much more efficient at killing hunters then non-pilots...
Get screwed over on Nexus Project choices?  It can happen, 3 great choices rolling up together, more then once.  You lose the two you don't complete forever.
Bad Planet finds?  Which can lead to losing someone important to RNG insta-death in Expedition.
Hunters coming more then 2 consecutive cycles?  That'll put a damper on getting anything decent done.

Player Organization: You need an idea of what needs to be dealt with... and non-essential/non-skilled people to get er done.

The Humans are... Human:
Some players will do random things that do not make any sense and may even seem to be counter-productive, but ultimately, not griefing.
Some players act like this is a single player game, with everyone else being NPC... as in they ignore people talking to them and do whatever the heck it is they do, neither productive or negative.
Sometimes, you can have ego clashes.
Sometimes, some leaders may insist on a my way or the airlock tyranny.
Not very often, there is absolutely no leadership or coordination whatsoever.
