Also, yeah, a lot of the later rebel bases are useful. One of them gives a ton of morale to the whole crew; that's nothing to sniff at.

Yeah, I was Comm Officer (Paola had died) and my first rebel base I got to decode was that one.  We had multiple depressed people at that point, don't think anyone was over 8 morale and most of us were under 6, and we hadn't worked out how to coordinate using the medibay bed for 'doing it' and not for 'sleeping in' very well yet (we mastered that to the point where our post-game party thread is 'sexy time' in dubious honor of fixing our morale issues so well) - I attribute that base to being a meaningful part of why 10 of us lived to return to Sol.

Eleesha gets 2 each time one of the rebel bases is contacted, for an absolute max of 12 personal glory bonus.

Paola gets a maximum of 8 personal glory from one of the xyloph DB results. Hua gets 1 glory from every hunter she shoots down, which has already enabled me to eclipse the glory I gathered in my best run as Paola.
Oh! The 1 glory per hunter thing is a constant for all characters, my mistake. It still seems like it's much easier for Hua and other pilots to get glory.

Welp, my ship just ended at day 12.  Every cycle we had 10-20 ships attacking us, 1-3 fires, broken equipment.  It was insane, we didn't even have the AP between all of us to kill enough hunters to take their scrap.  A shame too, as we had enough plants to where we were only losing 1 per cycle, and we produced a surplus amount of food.

I ended up as Eleesha from our jump and failed miserably at my job. Aside from inactives and people taking the useless skills in their one slot the start was pretty pleasant. After outing dirty knife-wielding Finola as Mush, me and Chao opened private channel to plot purging the ship from the mush with blaster fire. Unfortunately when i pointed out Stephen as the next target, Chao assured he helped with killing mush!Finola so i let him go. As it turned out (Chao told me seconds before he died) he came to the same conclusion and was eating the ration to get ap to shoot him. Ration was of course spiked by Stephen and Chao was turned and gone anonymous. I assume they turned Roland soon after and having everyone in one place due to speech started the shootout that took out three people,three mush,cat and all possible morale. Wish senseless rampage wasn't that effective as mush but i must say mush played their cards well.

I couldn't resist and wait.  I -had- to start another game.  I was the first aboard, D1 C4, I'm Finola.  There's 3 others with me, at least one of which (Stephen) is active and communicating.  The fourth -just- joined.  So if anyone jumps aboard really soon, you could end up on ship with me.  Good luck either way!

12 days is impressive! I think you get casting tickets if you even get that far. Most people will head to Sol by then because it gets too risky. You did get PILGRED done by then, right?

Always deal with hunters first, because they cause equipment/fires. There's also a point where you just stop fighting hunters and keep jumping the ship, unless the ship is blessed with multiple pilots.

With multiple pilots, you may end up using all the energy on all the fighters.  But yea, it would be significantly easier with more pilots.  Shooters and Eleesha with determination are not so bad for the turrets either...

Was anyone here the Gioele in my game, who was alone and extracting a spore in Rear Alpha Storage when I walked in right as you did it, on Day 1, Cycle 3?

Just wow, walked in at the worst possible time for him. Walk in, look at log *Extracted a spore moments ago* 'Yeah... bye!' I thought to myself and walked right out before reporting it over the comms.

Two cycles later he was dead.

Never had a game start this quick or a mush die that fast. I think another group somewhere must have organized a large jump today for the game to fill up so fast.

lol, I just extract spores in public areas like the bays and corridors. It's so dodgy to go in the storages. Nobody ever walks in on me because I play off peak :x
