The tutorial for this game really doesn't explain all that much.

In my first round as a mush, on my 7th ship, I am in a body not my own.

Standing in full Mushy glory atop a patrol ship in alpha bay...

Soon my victory will be at hand...

It will almost certainly end today, I only wish I could manipulate a damn radio so I could listen to what is happening after that surprise attack on chun.

Yes, yellow or orange. But are Alphas yellow and converted mush orange perhaps? Can anyone see a difference in one of your games?

I don't think dead Mush differentiate between alpha or not.  My current game shows this:  http://imgur.com/Mwzztgb

As an advisement. Transferring bodies can destroy your mush glory apparently. It appears to have halved when I jumped bodies to do my plan and I assumed it gave me the current bodies glory? Not sure what kind of sense that makes... Does that mean that the near inactive, on once a day, person suddenly has almost double the glory that I had before? Hrm.

I know a mush is yellow and a non-mush player/mush with anonymush is green. My question is, what are their colours after death? More specifically, is there a difference in the images of dead Alpha Mush and dead secondary Mush?

Dead Alpha Mush are bright yellow with a skull. Dead non-mush are green with a skull. But I've seen a kind of orange character with a skull. How about you guys? In games where a mush has died, is it yellow or orange? Do you know whether it was an Alpha or a secondary?

Dead mush are all yellow with skull, including anonymush.

Yeah, there's an awesome trick where you keep the guy with the highest glory (usually pilot Roland) alive for as long as possible then swap bodies for glory.

The tutorial for this game really doesn't explain all that much.

The tutorial is practically trolling you. It's been said that the worst possible thing you can do is follow advice from the tutorial.

The greatest thing ever on my death was reading the convo logs, and the fact that they really did not piece together anything.

They never realized that before I switched bodies I attacked Chun from my original body of Gioele, so they were all "Hua was the Mush, Thats why the hunters are hurting us so much!" Think Chun did not notice the solid three hits Gioele got on her before hand. Frankly I went at her with berzerker form as Hua had full AP and the ship was about to be destroyed in two or three cycles from hunters, thus my targeting of Hua, but I kept missing her over and over with it.

On a side note.

Someone did some lazy programming if they kept glory tied to the character... for the mush that does not seem to make sense if you use transfer. This is now my lowest glory round, where just three cycles before it ended it would have been my second or third highest about. AND THERE IS HUA IN MY BODY WITH THE MOST GLORY IN THE ROUND!

What kind of sense does that make! Why does she deserve golden supernova award?

Arg.

This looks like a really neat little game! Mafia meets Clue meets Star Trek (or if you insist, just a highly polished version of SS13). Posting to follow the thread!

Lol. Nobody takes the awards or glory seriously. Glory is broken in this game, it's like decoration points in Die2Nite. If you have a lot, you're probably doing something wrong.

I dunno about that.  I'm up to 107 glory in the current game.  And really, I think we're doing a heck of a lot of things right.  Me probably less than most of the rest, but we're keeping morale UP (lowest morale player right now has 7 morale) without either of the characters that can give morale boosts.  We're getting pilgred repaired even without Racula, the one character who is really able to repair it - we're almost half done with Pilgred now.  We're almost half way through the project Plasma Shield, which 4 of my crewmates swear is a matter of life of death, and that's with almost all of us getting 2-3% with our first 'work' upon it.  Retro-fungal serum's coming along too, not sure what percent that's at now but over 20% I believe.  All Mush dead, we have decent food, high O2, enough fuel to get to the next fuel planet for -certain- (or enough for emergency short hops and still the chance to get to a not-too-far-off fuel planet if we can find one), hull just dropped below 50, 10 active players alive, most of us active 3+ times each day (and some of us online every half hour or so just in case throughout much of each day - great for questions and surprises), and all of us above half health.  It's currently day 8, cycle 4.

We are challenged, we are sometimes struggling, we've had close calls - but our glory feels earned to me.  We are an awesome team, I would ship again with any of these 9 people in a heartbeat and call myself blessed, even though only one of them has any idea what DF is.

This game can be glorious.  Good luck to all of you - and don't spurn the glory, because not all of it is bunk!

If you're entirely sure your ship is devoid of Mush, retro-fungal serum might be best to prioritise after other things because (other than giving you a bunch of glory) I think the purpose is to turn Mush back into ordinary humans?

Well, it's a Wincon thingy.  Since most of the rest of humanity off the ship has been converted to Mush - going back to Sol (and maybe going on to Eden too) without it is... not exactly a true win.  Game does end, but.... not really a win.

Oh, btw guys, there's a major Mush jump on Saturday at 12 AM and 12 PM UTC. So if some of you guys are shipless or missed the B12 jump, it might be worth waiting for, which is what I'll probably be doing.

This game can be glorious.  Good luck to all of you - and don't spurn the glory, because not all of it is bunk!

I mean it's biased towards the wrong things. Like Chao can't really get any glory even if he contributes a lot, because his personal glory is biased towards killing teammates. Terrence's glory is biased towards drones, and if he's playing things right, he should be focusing on repairs, which nets almost no glory at all. (Pilot) Roland will get the top in a lot of games, because his glory is towards destroying hunters.

Mush glory is biased towards ripping the ship to shreds early in the game. Total conversion nets you very little. Killing sprees are a 'win' but not fun at all.

You do have a point about long voyages netting more points. But the system itself rewards selfish play. I'd just brush aside the Golden Supernova award. I have one of those and it was from being a dick and ruining everyone's game :P
