You can see a day back in the logs, Eleesha can only see twice as far. It was actually pretty useless in the game I was in.

Well, you could've seen logs to check if a mycoalarm was placed in the dorm, that might've been useful.

I had checked several times (both before and after being mushed), but hadn't seen anyone place one in the alpha dorm. I had requested one be put there earlier, of course, but that was under the assumption that it would prevent mushing somehow (and did not request it again because I was told it was being taken care of). But if it wouldn't have triggered until I had been mushed, it wouldn't have changed anything (I'm not clear on how it works and can't see the tooltip on the research in-game anymore since I'm out of the game. I tried to look it up on the french wiki, and the translation came back as "Exposed: Deterrence punch under penalty of being spotted." ???).

(As you undoubtedly noticed, after being mushed, I behaved as though I thought one had been placed, even though as far as I could tell one never had been)

P.S. You're still going to have to research the cure before you can win, aren't you?

Yeah, there could have been so many ways you got spiked.  You ran alot of items back and forth for us and that meant possible spored cabinets, the food could have been spored, then I'm guessing the third one was from Hua which converted.  I think all the mycoalarm does is it would have logged a "buuzzz" alarm message in the logs but you would've been converted anyways.

Forum time is a user setting. Mine is EST. There's a handy converter linked in the doc though, so just figure out what time you are in and at that and one of the times listed.

Check the discussion for a "Praise Armok! It begins!" thread. If one doesn't exist, make it. If it does exist, respond with "Praise Scamps!", "Praise the Toad!", "Praise the Three Toed!", "Praise the Carp!", "Praise the Elephants!", or "Do you want to hear something disturbing?" - any which hasn't been used yet. This will let us know we are on a ship with fellow Bay12ers, but keep it exciting but not necessarily letting us know who they are particularly.

Those of you on the good ship B12, please talk of the adventure for those of us (like me!) who were both to impatient to wait to try and ship out with you, and who are too lucky in their ship assignment to already be dead/about to die.

Log of Imp-Eleesha, Day 6, Cycle 1

Quote
My shipmates expect things to get much worse today, and the start of this day brought a near-rupture of our oxygen storage tank, happily swiftly aborted by Terrence before any significant harm was done - we still carry 20 units of oxygen in reserve.

We've faced small swarms of hunters throughout day 5, one currently troubles the ship.  More serious perhaps is an asteroid headed directly for our vessel, which would strike us in three cycles if we remained here.

The morale situation worsened, then has started to improve.  We still expect the suicide of one, possibly two of our silent crew any cycle now, and two of our actives had dipped into depression.  Medicine was used to try and cure Chun's depression, but that proved insufficient.  The medibay is being used for a comfort station though, and Gioelle, the other depressed, was the one I turned to for mutual reassurance.  When we were done, Gioelle's depression had lifted.  This assures me that time will cure Chun's mood, time and companionship.  We have a few bananas left, we have each other.  We will endure, I feel so much hope of this.

I have just moved all remaining fuel, all six units, to the combustion chamber.  We move to a planet six units distant, one which has:

x2 oceanic, O2, Hydro Carbon, strong winds, x2 high temps, x2 swamp, desert, insects.....3 sectors still unscanned.

Those who should know say that planet is our best hope, that time is short and things will rapidly get worse.  That there's no time to wait to finish inspecting that planet, that we must move and must move now.  As I write this I hear Neron announce, "Daedalus  in motion. New Orbit reached in 1 cycle."

Either this expedition succeeds, or we will be forced to remain in orbit around this planet until something finally destroys our ship.  My faith remains high though.  I know nothing of space travel, save what little I've learned trying to help this crew.  This crew though, this crew.  They do know what to do, and together I begin to believe survival truly is possible.

Eh, I thought we were going on something like 12 AM or 12 PM GMT?

Countdown. Because it's easier than converters IMO.

I might not be there, though. My suicide attempt has failed lol.

I haven't actually bothered to change it, though. I'll use the converter.

If we do that, it seems we'll be cutting out a good chunk of the times when people look to be available. Would you prefer to go on at one of those times?

I am confused, how does 7 pm GMT = 2 PM EST?   Or whatever have you?  Very confused by this timer anyways.

Err - you know EST is GMT-5, right?

So if it's 7pm GMT, then it is 2pm EST?

Just go with whatever one you recognize, all the times listed are the same.

Also, since we're jumping tomorrow, let's try to communicate and decide on characters and whatnot. Knowing who has silver/gold might be beneficial - I might purchase something for the jump either way.,..

I mistakenly joined a game today before realizing we're doing one tomorrow. How can I quit/suicide quickly?

I dunno - but know that you won't be replaced.  The ship you joined needs you, if you care.
