By jah... organizing an expedition... one with risk of death/getting lost, without the usual expedition crew... can be a HUGE pain in the arse.  We really only have 5-6 people who regularly go.

my current ship is on day 16 as well ( wonder if it is the same). keeping everyone alive is quite hard, especially since we have no medic/nurse, but we are doing surprisingly well. perhaps we will be able to break that D18 C6 record.

Sounds like my ship. This the one with the Janice who outed herself early and troll Terrence?

Janice was mush and was discovered very early, but terrence doesn't seem a troll. Is Eleesha your shrink?

Yup, same ship! XD

FYI, we have an above average activity ship because we did a group jump together a few days before the MMM. I think these group jumps are the only way to get a good chance for a long lasting ship.

nice. Do you think we will make it to day 18 cycle 6? so far we are holding, but we are slowly losing our grip on health , morale and ship condition.

There's just enough oxygen to exceed that time if we can fix all the oxy tanks. Our health and morale's actually really good for this ship... on my other ship, we had far more serious health issues because of constant expeditions and everyone was spending AP scanning for cristalite. But we'll probably just end up top 50 in glory because of the lack of glory research and expeditions. Except that Roland who'll likely end up like top 20.

Hey glyphgryph, I was the suicidal Mush Paola.  Not sure why Terrence said what he said in his last words when I was the first to suicide (did it immediately after Mush were assigned).  Nice to see you guys getting that far.

... Custom ship.  Everyone starts with paranoia, cannot be cured by shrink.  You don't start with any pills that cure it.

Here is why:
Sometimes, the stuff you type out is hijacked.  You can and will say fun stuff.
If you carry a weapon.... you may randomly decide to use it on someone in the same room.

Well, the original Ian journey ended with a surprising Mush win.  They were able to murder all non-mushes before the Hull disintegrated to a large swarm of hunters outside the ship, which meant my repairs were not in vain... kinda.  Depends on whether being bludgeoned in your sleep is preferable to dying in a giant fireball/being sucked into the vacuum of space.

My new ship has been more fun with good communication going on, though funnily enough our research and nexus are actually further behind.

Would love a ship like that. I'm getting bored of vanilla Mush :P

I got a game as a mush, but my original co-conspirator was an idiot. He immediately got dirty and cooked meals and spiked them and tried to push them on the crew (obvious much?) and stayed dirty. And he told me I should be doing the same thing because oh gee it's so effective. And then when people were all suspicious and nobody would eat any of his meals he admitted he was MUSH over general chat, said his team mate sucked, and attacked the ship so ineffectively that he didn't even kill anyone.

But this crew is really good, they're attentive and paying very close attention. I have been slowly spiking people here and there, but the opportunities are few and far between. I have spores spread out among the crew. Two people are at 2 spores but I haven't had another chance to spike them again. Another two are at 1 spore. I have had to be ridiculously careful to avoid being caught lol, I haven't been able to sabotage anything. Our Eleesha is all over the tracking job, questioning people on why they went somewhere and stuff. Most of my spores have been implanted via booby trapping, so it's kind of random who happens to get it. Nobody is hanging out in unsecured areas except Raluca, but going back to get her would out me after the first spore.

If the other MUSH had worked with me we could have converted several people by now (he used up all 4 spores on day 2 contaminating food which nobody ate), since his role would have given him access to much more of the ship than me.

Game is fun as MUSH though.

Heh, I never actually sabotage anything on the ship. It's way too easy to track with good players. Maybe possible in later stages (post day 10) when everything is breaking down anyway, but be careful, since NERON doesn't announce sabotaged breakages. So if things like patrol ships, O2 tanks, fuel tanks, grav simulator break down, it's a dead giveaway of sabotage.

By day 10... you may be better off riding along and go to Sol/Eden for the stealth win.  Maybe switching with the someone who has high glory or the captain for the move.

I don't really believe a stealth win is possible. Mush are going to out themselves somehow like failing to eat food, not reporting morale, or damage from showers. Most ships have a health/morale tracking system by Day 13. But later in the game, damage sources are harder to track. By that stage, people will probably cure you instead of killing though. And then there's the mycoscan and spore sucker.

Just infecting a few other people means that you have some political weight to throw on the ship so that someone can cover your ass when you mess up. I find that when there's at least 3 living mushes, the mush have usually practically won.

You might be fine sporing the cat (if you're not Finola) or encouraging people to cristalite zones if you want to lurk.
