Caught the mush using spore sucker. I petitioned to have the spore sucker mechanics changed to work the exact same way with mush. Would be lame if this becomes the common tactic on ships.
Honestly, I really don't think it's that powerful. There is so. much. drama. involved in using it. You need to synchronize activity, be online at the same time, force the mush to actively incriminate themselves. It's man advantage is DEFINITELY as a scare tactic more than anything else. It's also risky - clear someone with the spore sucker, and then everyone
trusts them. That means they are prime targets for being turned or transferred.
The "best case scenario" really is the Mush panicking and rampaging. Because them not being where they need to be, or leaving the room after using it (to secretly take a shower) claming they thought it was done... all the normal Mush strategies of covering up aggressive activity with incompetence, inactivity, or an off cycle time online still works just as well.
Personally, I see it as a last line of defense sort of thing. Think about it for a minute. Say you have a Mush Paola. She knows the only thing she needs to do to insure a Mush victory is
be a contributing member of the team. That's seriously it! She never gets dirty, and thus has no excuse to shower. Things like the forced dirty test, the spore sucker, the spoiled food test - against certain types of Mush, these things are neccesary. They are also
incredibly unwieldy and quite risky as well.
I don't think it's as much of a golden bullet as it seems - the real benefit comes from making your Mush
think it is.
