Never give up! Never surrender!
And it would look bad if we were defeated. We're a Color, you know.

Eh, it would also make friends with the ant-dude.  And he might be willing to give us some help with physical combat.

Hornet-dude.

And who says we can't befriend him if we beat him? (Seriously, though, just giving up won't help any. He doesn't seem the type to like that in a girl. Tenacity gives us some points.)

╞════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╡

You channel energy into your only known hope -- The rune of explosive cube. You start to conjure cubes everywhere, to Adrian's discomfort. He swiftly attempts to dodge them, but gets hit by one. Even you get hit by another, causing you to yelp as the fragments vaporize after they hit you. You pant as you watch Adrian fall to the ground whilst blocking large clouds of fire. You are losing magic power from this abuse...

Dust clouds low to the ground, with Adrian looking at you. You're still dug into the ground, but the fists stopped attacking you. Adrian snickers as he looks to you, his black and yellow stripe fur ruffled from combat.
"Surrender?" He asks as he approaches you, sliding dirt away with each step to create more dust clouds. You slowly breathe in air as you look up to him. Your head is in a bad pain, with bruises littered over your scalp. Your entire body is covered in dirt, scratches, and bruises. You look down as you clench your fist. You can't give up, you're a color. There's no need to sully your name -- even in a sparring match. A few moments of cold silence pass when you announce, looking up to him.
"No." You assertively respond to him. You have no idea how you would beat him. You can't aim anything well, and firing cubes will just hurt yourself.
!
The dust around you, to your curiosity, begins to ascend deliberately above you. Small chunks of dried dirt become dis-grounded around you before you feel yourself slowly rising. Your body makes it's way out of the hole calmly, shoving chunks of dirt away as you ascend. You find yourself set onto the fine dusty surface of the ground, and the dust around you falls back to the ground. Your legs feel painfully sore from being buried. You look to Adrian who seem's unquestionably surprised. You have no idea what happened there, but you're safe now.
You channel your magic energy to your right hand, and watch as your pistol materializes with a flame bursting out. You take swift aim, and fire a couple shots which Adrian dodges swiftly.
"That's weird." Adrian abruptly claims as he conjures what appears to be a giant steel fist. This one has large spikes mounted on each knuckle, with the letters 'HORNT' spelled out on each. You begin to think of a stradgedy as, out of the corner of your eye, you spot Janice watching you from a balcony on the Terra tower. Ah, she's the one that dug you up. You'll have to thank her later, but for now you have to kick ass.

Burn him with the Phoenix Blaster. Everyone knows Bugs are weak to Fire-type attacks!

You take careful aim towards him with your Phoenix Blaster, and pull the trigger. Four bullets fire in quick succession out of the barrel.
"Guardia!" Adrian chants. His large spiked fist suddenly morphs into a round, spiked shield and blocks the bullets. So he isn't just offence, after all. Shortly after, Adrian points his index finger towards you.
!
The shield flies into you at ludicrous speeds, knocking you to the ground. Adrian shoves his boot into your face, causing the back of your head to shift into the ground. You grunt as you attempt to get back up, but Adrian morphs his shield back into a fist and whacks you inside the side of your torso. You cough vigorously as you fly to the trunk of a pearlwood tree, wheezing as you breathe. You can only blink when Arian drives you further into the tree, and punches you with incredible force. You fly away from the tree and back into the ground.

You can't handle this much longer... Your legs are sore and hurting, and your head is rumbling when you took all those hits... You can barely stand as you look back at Adrian, who is hesitating to pull off his next attack.

You can't lose. You overcharge your rune of fire and take swift aim in front of you. Adrian prepares himself for the attack... You shoot a large burst of flame to the left and sweep right. Adrian places his shield in front of him, which absorbs the heat of the flame.
...
You're getting tired... You can't melt the shield. You pant in exhaustion as your flames dissipate. You slowly look up to the sight of Adrian dashing towards you with the large steel shield. You try to dash away, but the shield bashes into your head.

====
You wake up to the sight of an all too well familiar sight. The infirmary ceiling. The white ceiling tops a light blue wall. As you look around the room, you see many medical instruments and an empty chair. An immense pain shoots through your body as you try to get up. A slime woman nurse comes in and gasps. You can see her call out into the hallway out the door. Dr. Hexapus quickly rushes in, along with Adrian. Dr. Hexapus leans over to you, his monocle now being replaced by a medical scope covering one eye. His orange hexapus skin slides along the bed as he reaches to his chest for his stethoscope. He flicks at it for a moment and presses it against your chest.
After more examination, you break the silence. "What happened..?" You ask Dr. Hexapus who stops working. He blinks for a moment at you before clearing his throat.
"Adrian here knocked you out cold, Violet. Your skull got cracked, but we mended it." Dr. Hexapus explains. Adrian droops his head down to the mention of 'your skull got cracked'.
"Well, you're free to leave! Just be careful, it may be sore for a bit!" Dr. Hexapus says with glee, returning to his usual state of happiness. Dr. Hexapus takes his leave out the room, leaving you and Adrian alone.

Adrian lets out a sigh as he approaches your bed.
"Sorry, Violet. I took it too far." He concedes, drooping his head down. You redirect your attention to the clock mounted by the door. It's 5:47 PM, so that means school is over for the day.
"It's cool. Ease it next time, though." You say as you slowly rise from the bed. You rub your sore head and stand straight up. You look to the door and start walking as you stretch out your arms. Adrian follows you outside and part ways. You spot Mr. Knuckles leaning against a pearlwood tree. He motions for you to follow him, and so you do.

---
You find yourself in a quiet area by a fountain. Mr. Knuckles is sitting in a metal bench in front of the one you're sitting in. He looks over to you.
"While you were K.O'd, I gave a lecture on the curses which you should be backed up on."
You listen attentively while ignoring the pain in your head.
"Now, the Imperius Curse... Let's get to the point on how to defend against it. It can be resisted. If you believe someone is attempting to cast the curse on you, think hard about things such as your humanity and your mind. It doesn't work all the time, but it varies with the willpower of the victim. That's pretty much all I needed to inform. The other curses can be blocked and dodged, but people use the Imperius curse with stealth and it's important to know how to resist it." He lectures. Shortly after he goes back to the Potentia tower, leaving you to wonder where to go next.

We should draw emergency healing runes, like the one I just mentioned.

I would also suggest a Terra Permutatio Vacuos(Replace ground with nothing)
Itwould help us in situations where we get trapped, or where we can make the ground disappear beneath someone's feet.

We lost? Wow. Blaizken lost to Scizor, and if you'll excuse me I'm ashamed I made that comparison.

Head to the library and get ready to make more runes. We've got some upgrades to do.

"There's more to go over tomorrow! Be sure to attend class!" Mr. Knuckles shouts as he strides across the hexagonal walk-way.
"Yes, sir!" you shout a response as you make way towards the library yourself. You skip along the cobblestone path by the main building and hastily step up the stone slabs up to the Promas Library. As you open the large wood and glass door, you notice your mother on a ladder in between two towering bookshelves that dwarf her. You walk by her tall ladder and shout to her in a hushed tone.
"Hey, mom!" you quietly shout. Your mother looks down and waves with a gleeful smile. She gets back to work, sliding large books into a slot by the 'H' section. You gently stride to an empty table by the runic section. You slide two books out.

Runic Healing and You
About Runic Transfiguration

You produce a parchment of paper from your notebook and a pencil. You don't know much about healing runes, so you flip to an excerpt inside Runic Healing and You.
-
Chapter 1 -- Basic Healing
Healing a wound is not a simple task, even for runic magic. It requires a tremendous amount of precision and accuracy for complex tasks, or else the healing can end up with horrific results. It's simple to do something such as regenerating lost skin, but magic should NEVER be used inside any surgical procedure normally, for the casualty rate is high. So, with these current facts, only basic healing procedures such as skin repair should attempted by anybody. If you require extensive medical care, PLEASE consult a physician and not use magic.

In this basic lesson, we will use the magical aspects Sano and Corpus. First, overlap the two aspectial symbols -- Draw the rune of Sano first, as it is most important. You should only focus on repairing one area of the body at a time with one rune, or else magic energy may be wasted. For this rune we will be using the symbol for the human body. Draw it onto the rune then draw the symbol for the body part you wish to heal. Write the runic symbol for a magical exchange. For this runic transmutation, we will be transmuting magic power into numerous biological skin cells. This part is very important, so read carefully. Write the symbol for magic, then draw the exchange formula for the magic to skin cells. Once you are done, bind the rune with a circle.
This rune, once complete, will regenerate all skin cells inside a specific part of the body. This is useful for stopping blood flow.

-

You start work on writing the rune. You decide to write it on the side of your torso.
---
Alright, you finally finished it. Your rune took a while to draw, but this should help you a lot.

-
Next, you draw a rune that should dig the ground up onto your leg. You will only be able to transmutate the ground to air slowly, but should get the job done.
You're starting to run out of places to put these runes, and it's difficult to keep up with them. But for now, you're done drawing runes.
