Turn I: Detention
"Um, thanks. I'll keep that in mind."
The nerds go back to their group, and you can hear Martin clearly exaggerate about how he saved you from the evil orcs, aka bullies. You sigh. You walk over to the two bullies on the floor, both in pain. Hellings sure can punch. One is bleeding and the other has a tooth a few inches from his mouth.
"Hey."
They look up at you, and as they see you their eyes open up and crawl away. You're not that scary, are you? You turn to face Luce, who has materialized into a monster form.
"Don't worry. Only they can see me right now. Just making sure they don't touch my cute little sister ever again!"
"We aren't related, and technically I'm the same age as you are," you whisper.
You return to your corner and pull out your phone. "Hey, isn't it illegal to beat up students?"
"Yeah. Under the national law. But this school is its own nation. It literally bought this land from the nation. In here, conventional justice is a work of science-fiction."
"Why didn't those robocop hall monitors take those two bullies?" you ask, gesturing to the two bullies cowering on the floor.
"They arrested the leaders. They can't be bothered cleaning up the lesser thugs. The teachers prefer to strike at the head, metaphorically, most of the time. Keeping the strongest and most influential away keeps the bullies leaderless."
The bell rings. Mr. Ashedown returns and commands everyone to return to their seats. "Your first lesson today is Maths. Please take out your textbooks."
One of the bullies shouts. "Oi, bloke. Where's Sully?"
"Hm? Hellings? I'm afraid you'll have to wait. Detention is a dangerous place. But you'll see him soon in assembly."
The bully gets up from his chair. "Detention? Are you insane? It's the first day of school, and you're sending him to that hellhole?"
"Mind your tongue. If your done, you've wasted enough time. We're returning to class."
Thirty minutes of Maths has been boring, but at least it's over. It's notlw the changing period; when students get their books and the next teacher prepares. The bully from earlier approaches you.
"Ey you. It's your fault that Sully's in Detention. If it weren't for you he wouldn't've been thrown in there."
"Back off. What's so bad about detention anyways? Staying an hour afterschool isn't that bad."
"Ha. Is that what you think Detention is? Detention is a prison. Without the laws or guards. A No Man's Land, they call it, cuz whatever's in there ain't no man."
Another of this school's twisted punishments. Being homeschooled in a rural village has left you unprepared for this strange society. And they call villagers barbaric.
"What do you want me to do about it? Write a complaint?"
"Bust him out!" A camera immediately zooms into him. He whispers, "This is your fault. He doesn't deserve to rot in there."
"I'm not helping you."
He gets down on his knees. "Please. I know him and I seem like jerks and asses, but he's a nice guy. I'll do anything. Just help me out. You're stronger than I am, I'll admit. Stronger than most of my boys. But the best part is you don't look like us. They won't suspect you."
Will you help the bully?
If you have any questions, just ask! Also, I'm just gonna skip what happens in the lessons after you give your answer, so also put actions for afterschool. You'll have 4 hours of going anywhere before heading to the hotel/dorms.
