Actually, forget about firing off the flare for now, because I just remembered we still have to finish the escort mission. We can probably hold out for another room or two.

"Honestly, I think several clashes between players I will not name were factors in the last game dying, so I decided to just play it safe and step in. Anyway, I just updated the Spell Library with the new book, and am going to start work on the turn now.

Chapter 1: Garden Gambit

Turn 23

Oscar should probably get feline grace, so he takes less damage, and can not be cornered.

Oscar should put detonate into his new spell slot and get the feline grace ability.

"Awesome! Check out the grace and style with which I move now! *mewl* The new slot is a twice per dungeon slot, however, and detonate is a once per dungeon spell though... and I can't even replenish spells until we rest back in town anyway..."

Give Syn's equipment to Ithan. Give Ithan's old bow to Ignacio, and split the arrows so Ithan has 10, and Ignacio has the rest.

"I have no clue what this stuff does... but check out my new ranged damage and AC! Thanks alot!"

+2 Chemistry between Ithan and nuclearwhale

+1 Chemistry between Ithan and Cheesecake


"A... bow? I guess this could be of some use against those nasty elf fencers who can easily parry my untrained bladed attacks. Many thanks friend."

Let's head west. Ithan still has enough spells to handily defeat a small company of elven infantry, and I'm not sure what happens to the escort quest if we leave. I'd ask, but I try to avoid talking to anyone involved in escort quests.


"The party heads into the room to the west, and quickly finds the next group of baddies: To the east is a small squadron of elven fences, and to your north is a frightening creature that fits several common definitions of the word 'troll'.

There is a second troll here as well, but he is chained to the front of a nearby shed; A Newbish Elven Thug, likely an apprentice to the Fencers, starts moving north towards a red lever labeled 'release' as soon as he catches sight of you."


"Oh! Oh! TROLL! TROLL IN THE DUNGEONS!"

Allright, I can't see the map as per usual, so my suggestions may be faulty..
Ithan: Try out your new bow on the Elf. Back away from loose troll afterwards.
Ignacio: If Ithan misses his shot, go for it yourself. One troll is bad enough.
Oscar: I would say give wishbone the fire aura again, but more than one hit from the troll will end him. Is he good range for a flame charge? The troll has an AC of 4, so we have a pretty good chance of hitting.
Wishbone: I dunno what to do with wishbone. He can probably take something out if its not a troll, however.

Oh wait, you meant fencers, didn't you?

Sarcastically wonder what will happen when the lever is pulled. Honestly wonder why the bottom right elf is outlined in red.

Ithan, Ignacio: Fire at the fencers.
Wishbone: Head to the north end of the party, waiting for the troll.
Oscar: ...Consider the possibility of some kind of crossbow mount harness thingy we could make and equip you with until you get some longer-ranged spells.

Oh wait, you meant fencers, didn't you?

Elvish fences are the most dangerous type of fences. They will give you a splinter EVERY time you so much as touch them. You don't wanna mess with elvish fences.

I misread what you had said as selling the fences. Something like "Maybe we should sell them for some more loot." I think I like the mental imagery of a squad of elven fences just sitting there and waiting to be stolen.

Oscars fiery dash will take out a troll, if it is used at max range, and his claws draw blood. If ignacio gets a hit in with the bow, we will have a little safety padding, so lets do that first. If oscar is in range this round, after the dash, else this round.

We really want that elvish newb dead, more so then normal. Ithan fires his bow at the northernmost fencer - unless said newb is in range. Wishbone gets to hunt the newb in the first setting, the way idealy cleared by an arrow.

Kuhscheisse gets to hide in the western corner.

I will +1 this as it is close to my original suggestion and otherwise we would have a 3 way tie.
