Land and Sky (Illustrated)
« on: November 21, 2013, 06:51:30 pm »

This is a fantasy RTD inspired primarily by The Wind Beneath Your Feet, an RTD I recently read. It also uses the Skills/Traits system I've been using for a derail game. It also has a bit of inspiration from various other things.

Most actions will be decided on the roll of a d6, with a 1 being an utter failure, a 2 being a failure, a 3 or 4 being a partial success, a 5 being a success, and a 6 being a strong success. Your three stats (Muscle, Agility, and Intellect) will grant bonuses to certain actions, such as combat. Difficult actions will impose penalties, while easy ones will grant bonuses. If you score a hit in combat, another roll will be made for damage.

I'll be starting once three players post character sheets. Waitlisters will be added upon death or when I feel like throwing in more people.

I plan to keep this going indefinitely, and update reasonably frequently.

Name: Z'thyal
Class: Soldier-caste (high attack and speed, buffing attack of themselves and others, low durability)
Race: C'thyar: a humanoid race of insects, they have smooth chitin and four arms. Two of these are slender and end in grasping hands, the other strong and end in large mantis blades as hard and sharp as steel. To avoid other races shunning them for their unpleasant looks, they wear full-face helms and large tabards that cover most of their body, leaving the arms free to slash or rend, otherwise tucked into the tabard to conceal them.

The class will be renamed to Soldier, and may be tweaked slightly.

Sure, that's fine. Interested to see what you change.

Name: Delia Kamala
Class: Dancer (Less buffer and more glass cannon, please)
Race: Human, Acrobatic Training and Diplomatic. Stat changing may take place once I see the class stats/abilities.

EDIT: Eh... Let's go with Diplomatic instead. Sounds a tad more useful to me, and I suppose that it fits better for a dancer.

Remember, pick one Trait and one Skill from your race. Also, humans have Traits I and Traits II instead of Skills and Traits. USEC_OFFICER, your character is still fine since the skills were actually traits.
