Elves. I hate the way that they carry such useless armour and weapons and you get nothing from beating a city of them.

Considering I just realised this was posted in the Adventure Mode subforum and my response was in regards to Fortress mode, I'd like to say that my most hated creature in adventure-mode is horses. Or cows. Or any quadruped hoofed creature that's larger than I am.

Is it because you've been stampeded by elephants numerous times?

A lot of people who wrote "D for Dwarf" articles would probably write ELVES in all caps without supporting details.

I'm not one of those people.

I say 75% of my adventurer's parents, because I always make dudes who end up leaving home in skirts and dresses.

Those dudes, when they survive raiding bandits, usually take the leader's pants along with his armor, weapon, and wallet.

Hah, I'm fairly well versed in adventurer creation, but I don't like making demigods. Why? Because I don't want a character that is described as being really buff. Yeah, you just can't please me. I prefer my scrawny rock-throwing peasants.

If I have anything like that my adventurer will rip it off his body and throw it to the ground, beginning his quest in nothing but a  llama-leather-loincloth and a troll-fur-turban if he has to.
Or I'll just try to find a pile of decorated clothes in a house, whichever.

I see them try to steal bolts and thread all the time. Their giant brothers? I won't forget the day they killed two dwarves and stole my only anvil. All I will remember of them is how they pushed their way into my newbie fort and taught me to fear everything in Dwarf Fortress.

I almost died laughing at the idea of giant parrots stealing an anvil.

I've never run into a coelecanth in DF, but they are the equivalent of DF law-giver demons in Animal Crossing.

I have yet to see one, but I approach pretty much everything with the knowledge it can probably kill a dwarf. Kea just happen to be a common and irrating pest to any fort I make.

It wasn't unheard of for men to run around in dresses in the middle ages, if I know my history.
