I absolutely detest olm men, I mean...they just keep coming towards me in seemingly endless hordes! It's just so stressful to be around them..

Bogeymen.

It's pretty easy to stop them from appearing, (get a party member), but being a person who prefers not to do that, I usually have to fight them pretty often.

Trying to hit them is really hard, as they seem to be pretty agile.

Sturgeons.

It's easy to spot alligators and hippos and the like, but if you just glance at a river before climbing in, you might immediately have your arms and legs bitten off, leaving your legendary hammer lord hobbling around limbless and bleeding.

Why, yes, I have experienced this.

It depends on the game. I check to see what the endangered species are. If there are only 2 pandas in the world, they become my number one enemy.

Camels... Oh, dear bloody god, camels! Not nearly as deadly as their brethren, elks and horses, they tend to go down on you the only moment you totally don't expect this or just can't afford to fight off another animal crazed for sentinent flesh...

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

Gray Langurs. The number of times I've started to move my stuff indoors from my wagon only for a swarm of Gray Langurs to pelt on to the map and nick my Anvil and anything else important I had in there.

Aside from giant keas, I find vultures to be especially annoying since they keep bugging my dwarves and I always have my military exterminate them when they show up and start being annoying.

Ha,that strangely reminds me of the time I went on a city-wide pillage,(since I was such a skilled swordsman lets call it a professional rampage eh?) well anyways I ended up killing a sacred goblin (which may or may not have impacted the local goblin populace in a negative way)!

Goblins:

Quit sending ambushers so early and I'll turn invaders back on from the start.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Considering I just realised this was posted in the Adventure Mode subforum and my response was in regards to Fortress mode, I'd like to say that my most hated creature in adventure-mode is horses. Or cows. Or any quadruped hoofed creature that's larger than I am.

Bogeymen because they are just complety unfunny little things. Except once when I bisected one.. by biting it. Carried that part for a while in mouth...

Ravens. Too small to be butchered, hang around in large flocks and prevent me from entering sneak mode.

Re: fort mode/goblins - yeah, it gets sort of dumb when you get three ambushes per year, each of which has more armed goblins than your fort has adults. If you're not totally turtled-in, you're pretty much bound to die of attrition when playing with a low population cap; and if you're turtled-in enough to survive, the entire "military" part of the game consists of cleaning up goblin parts and reloading cage traps. Not a very thrilling experience either way.
