Currently bouncing between Gangsters 1/2 and Jagged Alliance 2-1.13-AR (I forgot what the AR stands for, but it is basically JA2 Expanded.)

From more recent, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Very very good game, especially if you were into Deus Ex or Alpha Protocol.

Mmyes. I played it a couple of months ago, I absolutely loved it. That also reminds me, I should get around to finishing Deus Ex and System Shock 2.

[there]was a ton of DCSS (Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup) but it's not an old game so it doesn't count.
Well, it came out in 2006, so ... :D

Conquest of the New World - Deluxe Edition and Star Trek: Birth of the Federation have had my interest a bit the last week or so.

Oh, I'd forgotten about Birth of the Federation.  I wonder if I still have the disc to that?  I might actually be able to beat it now, but I was awful at it as a kid.

I actually do still have the disc for that. :D

I've been playing this ASCII-based sort of god game/management sim where you start with seven dwarfs and try to build a city, you guys should check it out.

I've also been playing Imperialism 2 and Master of Magic (yay dosbox).

I've been playing a lot of old games over the past few months.

Startopia, I'm still trying to remember my long ago layout that generated ridiculous quantities of slug poo.

Space Colony, replayed this again, I never seem to get more than halfway through the campaign before something else grabs my attention leading to me restarting again from the beginning the next time. Stig is still the best character.

Freelancer, I recently replayed through the campaign to refresh my memory in order to help out with fact checking for a piece of fanfiction someone else is writing.

Anachronox, Never managed to finish it due to bugs corrupting the savegame or blocking ability to progress in the last quarter of the game. The Emergency Parole Button is still one of the most amusing points I've seen in a game.

Xcom via OpenXcom, Reached fairly late game though I've started having my firestorms shoot down ufo's over the ocean where possible to cut down on the sheer number of missions while I'm searching for the next alien base so I can grab the base commander to let me open up the route to Cydonia, the previous base commander got ganked by a panicking soldier just as he was about to be captured.

Went back through F.E.A.R. recently. Mediocre plot, but the gameplay remains fantastic.

Been trying to get back into KotOR. Great game (though encouraging the player to not level for a long time to take advantage of Jedi levels sucks), but it takes a lot of time to get back into it, which I don't have.

Master of Magic, Master of Orion 2, Majesty....think that's it for now. Although in the past few months I also fired up King of Dragon Pass.

I tried to get Castles working a little while ago, but had issues and haven't gotten back to messing with it.

Re: KOTOR level ups

At over a dozen varying playthroughs, I feel that it's fairly trivial whether your muggle/jedi levels are 8/12 or 3/17. If you really want, you can do 6/14 fairly painlessly to get a few extra force powers.
I fought Bendak Starkiller at lvl 3 or 4 and it's just not worth the few piddly jedi levels. Actually I'm pretty sure that early on muggles get more feats. Soldiers have the highest feat gain of all the classes, scouts get implant levels and rogues have luck/uncanny dodges.

Definitely level up till 6, maybe even 8 muggle levels.*

We could argue semantics. I decided to go with the latest patch date, so new. On the other hand you could just take it as a continuation of Crawl, which takes it back to the 90s and then it's definitely old. Either is good.

I've played another run-through of Cave Story recently.  Damned fun game.  Other than that, a couple of months ago I did a Grandia 2 playthrough, and have been doing some Majesty Freestyle maps.

Really been tempted to do a playthrough of Legend of Legaia again, but my disc is missing.  I have to go on a search to find that game again, it's too good to not know where it is.

Fired up Hardwar recently. Haven't played much though.

Kinda want to go through the old SSI Gold Box games. I never did the Dark Sun ones, and only did one of the Dragonlance games.

I got new computer last year and didn't install any of my old games on it. Total Annihilation, Arcanum, Fallout 2 and SMAC, my all time favorites have been gathering dust in the closet since then.
