Quote from: Everyone
Present ID and Badge to ID checker
As you root around in your clothes, you realize that the ID and badge hasn't been sent to you, despite the fact they said they were going to send it to you. The soldiers look extremely warily at you as you fumble around. One of them cocks their guns and nods to the other.

Quote from: Nerjin
"At attention soldiers!" General Idea stated as he walked, full of bravado, up to the ID Scanners to present his ID "What is the status of this check-point?"

Present ID and badge to ID Scanner. The sooner I get to work the better.
[6] The soldier with the itchy trigger finger aims at you, but the other one motions for him to put it down. "They're probably just job applicants, Jerry" he says.

'Jerry' shakes his head. "Five civilians, all unarmed? No government IDs? Why weren't we informed of job applicants? Why is he so cheery like he owns the place? They're terrorists, we would have been informed of job applicants otherwise."

"Give them a break." says the helpful guard.

"All of you, state names and addresses now!" says the guard, waving his rifle at you. The other guard sighs and motions to the desk vaguely, but doesn't say anything. The person at the reception looks at a magazine like this happens all the time. Which, in all likelihood, it does.

Michael almost panicked. He couldn't remember his name, or where he lived. Suddenly, a blinding surge of pain shot through his head, and restricted memories surfaced to him.

"Urghh.. Michael Eriah, 1462 Kristall Drive."

That didn't sound right though. Well, the name was right, but he never lived on a place named Kristall Drive... he was... he was what? He couldn't remember where he lived before or what he did before.

He just had to trust his head this time.

Henrich squints at the guard's nametag. "Henrich O. Passaun, of 12 Hauffberg drive."

(Sorry about the non-specific format of this post, I'll be going to a proper RTD format when everyone can post specific actions without the risk of getting shot.)

"You speak when you're spoken to!" says Jerry aggressively.

Jerry looks at the other guard, who shrugs and sighs. "How about you just show your job apps?" he says. When you and your fellow workers show their applications, the guard nods and motions for Jerry to put down his gun, who does so reluctantly. "Just pass on through. I'll feed you into the system. You can get your IDs and stuff inside, I think."

"At ease soldiers." General Idea, whom appears to not realize that he was threatened a moment ago, proceeds as directed with the intent of whipping this entire department into proper shape.

Relieved at the seconds guards sensibleness, but worried still by this Jerry, Karen could hardly suppress a sigh.

Karen gives a curt nod and small smile to the other guard then proceeds to follow her more bold co-worker, hoping for no more blunders on her first day.

Michael took a short look at Karen and Henrich. He did not know any of them at all, and the General did not seem to produce many comprehensive thoughts. He didn't even remember that he had a wife or a kid. He knew his wife and kid, though, but he did not remember being married to her or having the kid. They were more like friends than family.

He guessed he would have time to make friends, though.
Pass through the checkpoint with the others.

On the other side, an elevator awaits. You walk to it, and notice that there are no buttons. Slowly the elevator brings you up to the true part of the Department. When you step out, you can see cubicles stretching from your position to the horizon, with the sound of typing and writing and voices constantly in the background. You can see an empty cubicle with five desks inside, each one having a badge, ID, clothing, certificate, notepad, pen, and laptop. There is also a lamp, a printer, a line-up of stamps, and an in-out tray. There is also a note on each desk.

There is also a clock on the cubicle wall. 9:07am. After all the hassle, your job begins proper.

"To battle!" General says as he marches towards his assigned desk and begins working.

Begin working after collecting the essential things for my job.
