PS4 and XBone are coming out, and Giantbomb did exactly what I was thinking about asking B12.... what do you think has been the best gaming experience of the console generation? I know they'll still be around and more games will appear yada yada, but to date, whaddya think?
Looking at my 360 games in my bookshelf now... I don't know, it's hard to choose. Skyrim is obviously epic, but PC version blows console out of the water with such a huge broadside I don't really consider it a console game. Red Dead and COD:MW and Halo and GoW had good multiplayer times. Say what you will about the COD franchise now, Modern Warfare kicked a lot of ass and was a very influential game. RDR had an amazing engine, but the story was a bit patchy (total lack of racism and inter-racial violence really jarred me).
So, Ima gonna say, Dragon Age: Origins. This was the culmination of years of Bioware experience and is the finest mature RPG ever made, IMO. Though I will never forgive Greg and Ray for selling Bioware to EA, killing off the series before it got started, I'm kind of glad because Origins will stand forever alone as an example of what games can be if produced properly. Lost Odyssey also amazing, but too much of a FF6 rehash.
What is your game of the generation? (Except Skyrim, 'cos it's too good).
