Annoying Spam-bots

A few of you might have noticed by now w'ere getting a bunch of spambots. I'm not sure if this is a new occurence or if we've had them in the past, but are there any plans in the works to deal with them?

Not sure why you posted in the suggestions section....

The sports channel spambots seem to be newish, but yes the spambots have been particularly annoying and persistent recently.
