My idea is we should basically become invisible to world, only influencing it through proxies or some other means.

Agreed. Less chance of uppity gods or jealous titans trying to kill us.

Become one with Gaea itself. See through the animals and feel through the trees. Basically be anywhere where life thrives.

I wish I could unwatch a thread because every time I look at this I can feel myself dying faster
Dying of laughter?
Dying of pure unbridled hatred, actually.

We should experiment before doing something like this. Like for example make the species that will be our eyes and ears across the planet or variation of this.

Yeah, don't try to do something quite that drastic yet.

A different idea we can build species that acts like eyes and ears across the planet while we bury ourselves underground and create underground ecosystem which eventually lead to a empire if left undisturbed by others. For safety precaution we can build a giant forest above us that gathers life energy from the surrounding environment. This life energy can enhance any living being in the forest, this will extend their life span but also increase their size over generations. Once we have these giant animals due to life enhancement from the forest. We could use them ward of any mortal from discovering us.

So I need to get to bed soon but before I go crash I thought I'd check the thread.

Yeah this is basically never going to happen. To completely usurp Gaea you would have to have Perfect level DM in every single concept that exists. And if you mean just controlling all the non-sentient creatures and all the plants on Gaea, while that would in fact be possible with Perfect level DM in Nature(barring any creatures specifically tied to other Deities), by the time you become that powerful there will be Gods with Nature DMs to oppose you.

More practical would be controlling all the life in a specific territory, concentrating your power in one area and not spreading yourself out. That would help you fight off the influence of other divine beings. If you designed some sort of power booster that enhances your influence over an area you could even control a pretty large area this way; though someone destroying your boosters would weaken your control in that territory.

Alternatively you could kill all rival Gods with any power over Nature, but that kind of behavior tends to piss people off so it is pretty risky.

But with all of that said, this is all theoretical because that kind of control requires Perfect level DM. Creating a creature specifically designed so that you can remotely control them is within your abilities however.

Use one Aether to level up in Nature and then give the Primfantes a natural affinity (as in subconscious use) in nature magic to make them more likely to support you when made sentient. Also, try and find/call the ToA to go exploring with it. Possibly open communications with ToW as he would make a great ally and a terrible enemy.

First up, why don't we just have a massive area in which we control, we could just use some aeather or something to have a big control area, like oblivion said.

I still think my temple idea was cool.

I still think we should make a species that acts as our eyes and ears because information is much more important then making and area of influence.

Another idea we should make a dormant virus that will insert itself in the hosts DNA. The purpose of this virus is once it is activated it will alter the brain chemistry of the host either making it hyper aggressive or peace loving pacifistic. This is a good way to kill off any enemy god or ignite wars because imagine if we have a war-like god then we activate this virus we turn most of his followers into peace loving hippies thus stopping the god in its tracks.

Another idea is do the same thing with plants except making them poisonous to the creature that is consuming it.

In order for these ideas to be effective we need implement them into creatures before they start to form Gods.

edit: GM question. Since gods don't have a physical form can they only see through the eyes of their followers or know about things that their followers only know?

OK OK I just want to state a few things viruses are a no no no they naturally evolve naturally to fast and could evolve rapidly out of are control. Parasites are a no no they could easily cause eco-system balance issues. We need a completely different type of apex predator to keep eco-system in balance. So i propose a crustacean based predator so I will submit my design later.

^Research paper about a ancient virus found in our DNA.

We can give it a kill switch in order to control it, just in case it gets out of hand.
