Minor Failure
You ask the Titan of Air about it's ability to Sense Divine, but unfortunately it has never had to explain it to someone before. It is unable to accurately describe how Sense Divine works and you don't learn anything from it. It apologizes and seems disappointed to leave on such a low note.
Right before it flies away it perks up again with an idea and offers to come and get you when it feels that the Titan of Earth is about to awake. It will then lead you there and you can both greet your sibling when it awakens!
Do you accept the Titan of Air's offer?
After hearing your reply it flies off into the sky.
With the Titan of Air gone you return to exploring your surroundings. The various creatures that inhabit this valley are apparently some of the largest and most complex that the Titan of Air has seen on Gaea. With that said you immediately see that you could improve them, even having never actually modified a creature before you know you can do better than this. Taking a quick survey of the creatures a few stick out to you:
An amphibious herbivore that you watch munching on the various grasses that dot the shoreline. It has a flat and wide head filled with blunt teeth for gnawing grass. It's body is shaped like a gecko but without any tail.
A small predator that leaps about with powerful back legs, it has claws that sharply curve inwards and sharp teeth. With the best eyesight you have seen from any creature so far it searches for prey and then leaps onto their back. The claws act like hooks to hold onto the prey as the hunter starts tearing out the neck of it's prey.
The one water-based animal you found. It has a long, soft, and flexible body that uses to swim through the water. It has no limbs and seems to eat the leftover detritus from other animals.
The only animal you have seen with any social behavior is a group of herbivores that travel together in a group. They have sharp spines on their backs and their rears and when in danger they huddle together face-first and burrow partway into the dirt. All that any predator is presented with is a mass of sharp spines which usually deters them. After they leave the herbivores get up and start traveling again.
After looking at these you know you can improve them, but then a thought hits you. Why bother? These animals are all clearly inferior so might it be best to just start from scratch and create a creature without using any of these other animals as a base? With this thought in your mind you decide on what to do.
