Minigame: the resurrection of Coolrune.

You have no supplies.

You have vague theoretical knowledge about necromancy.

What do you do?

Minigame: the resurrection of Coolrune.

Panic
you begin to panic.
Set the corpse on fire.
Somehow, you have enough clarity of thought to pick up some random sticks with which to start a fire.

In your panic, you set your shirtsleeve on fire. Somehow.

You have a couple of sticks.

You have vague theoretical knowledge about necromancy.

your shirtsleeve is on fire.

You are panicking.

What do you do?

null action
Cut off burning-sleeve arm.

You fail to cut the arm off, however, you do gouge a hole in your arm with a stick, spraying blood over the place. The blood puts out the fire.

Use the sticks to form the outline for some ritual unrelated to vague knowledge

You shape some sticks into a crude pentagram.

Your vague knowledge is as follows: you think you need a pentagram, you think you need candles, you think you need blood, but you're not really sure of anything else.

Cut off burning-sleeve arm.
Then use it in ritual

You smear some of your blood onto the sticks.

As you lack detailed knowledge, your efforts are of very limited effectiveness. However, coolrune's soul is drawn back towards the living world. +5% resurrection status.

You have a crude pentagram of sticks. Blood is smeared on the sticks.

You have vague theoretical knowledge about necromancy.

Your shirtsleeve is bloody and charred.

Your shirt is bloody.

You are bleeding.

You are panicking.

Chant the name of an eldritch god, alternated with Coolrune's name

Set arm on fire again. Use as improvised candle.
You are panicking. Your shirt sleeve is drenched with blood. The sticks are wet with blood.  You are in pain from the self-inflicted injury. If the GM were deciding success/failure with rolls, then even a natural 20 might not be enough. Maybe 3 natural 20's in a row...

You remove two sticks to attempt this.  coolrune's soul drifts away: -2%

You fail to light anything on fire. however, your nose is briefly assualted by the smell of heated blood.

Chant the name of an eldritch god, alternated with Coolrune's name

You don't actually know the names of eldritch gods in this universe. At least, you don't know them yet. A passing something hears, however, and contemplates helping.

Coolrune hears his name, and drifts a little closer to life. +3% completion.

You are panicking, and garble his name, offending him! -1%

Perhaps you could eek a little more oomph out of this method if you replaced the sticks...

Really, though, you need more knowledge.

There is now a town nearby.  There are stores in the town, which might have what you need. Or maybe not. Traveling to and from the town is a free action.

You have a crude pentagram of sticks. Blood is smeared on the sticks.  2 sticks are missing.

you have 2 sticks.

You have vague theoretical knowledge about necromancy.

Your shirtsleeve is bloody and charred.

Your shirt is bloody.

You are bleeding from one arm.

You are panicking.

A passing something has paused nearby, and is considering helping.
