GODLY WARS OF THE OCTAGONIAL PLANE

Turn 0,5

A~nd the Contestants a~re:

As he wished, he fights for the Sphere of the Fire Gods!
As he guessed rightly, he will do so with a Dwarf!
As EP guessed - more or less - "Elementalist" before him, the dice have given him a Druid instead!

Quote
flabort

As Fire was taken already, we will go by his race, and thus he fights for the Sphere of the Earth Gods!
As he guessed rightly, he will do so with an Elf!
As he talked about hunting, he has netted himself a Ranger - How fitting!

Quote
Elephant Parade

Because of Elemental Conundrums, he will fight for the Sphere of the Wind Gods!
As Flabort guessed Elf before him, the dice have given EP a Harpy instead!
And as he guessed Geomancer, he gets to be an Elementalist!

Quote
darkpaladin109

As he wished, he fights for the Sphere of the Water Gods!
As he... kinda guessed rightly with Godzilla, he gets a Lizardfolk!
And as the dice decided, he will do so as a Warlock!

We have a triggered racial quest this round, which means in this scenario he will join us on Turn 3 as a Wild Card!
I'll say this now, one of you should hurry, because he is coming for you~hu~

Stay tuned untill tomorrow, where I should have enough time on my hands to give you the final char-sheets, and start Turn 1!
(Or rather, my bad - this took a tad longer than I presumed, so~ be good mortals-intent-on-bashing-each-others-skulls-in and be satisfied with that for now...)

Also, let me take this chance to say that I find it very dwarfy that you go along with this obnixious transparency.

I agree with this. This is insane. Even by my standards.

ON BOARD THE KESTREL: TOO POOR FOR THIS NATION

Since nobody gave me any warp orders after I gave you guys the map, and I think EL said to go hard east, that's where you're heading.

It's some slave traders, they're offering you a deal, but you're so poor that you can't even afford slave labor.
Do you want to open fire, or keep going?

"SLAVER SCUM! EAT MISSILES!"
Since this is the only suggestion, and I want to get some sleep, we're going with this.

ON BOARD THE KESTREL: DIE SLAVER SCUM

Pilot Parade opens up the comms. "Hey guys, what are we going to do ab-"
"OPEN FIRE" The weapons officer, Highmax, called out, and battle was joined!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Highmax opened fire on the enemy shields, but his missile missed, and the lasers were ineffective! The enemy plasma was missing, but a rocket blasted into the medbay! The Head of Ship Defense, Lurker quickly pressed some buttons on his datapad and opened a route from the medbay to the void outside, to rid the ship of the fire.

A bolt of plasma takes down the shields, and another rocket impact along the hull, but Highmax opens fire with a missile to their shield generator, taking it down, followed by a three shot burst of laser fire. They surrender!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Do you accept a slave, or continue the fight?

Ok, I really need to go to sleep, so I'll just have you accept the slave.
(Right after accepting the slave, the slaver ship exploded anyway. I'm guessing from a fire.)
His name is Olaffson. Also, right now Lurker is hanging out in the weapons control with Highmax until the shield room returns to having oxygen, since the fire spread out of the medbay. Lurker repaired the shield room and the medbay, so he now has a bit of skill with repairing stuff.

So, WHO WANTS TO BE OLAFFSON?
Here's your star map.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So you can either backtrack into hostile territory, or fly into a nebula.
Pick your poison.

10 Tokens I get to visit the medbay this sector

.... Hand 'em over!

O~h, Nebula-Time? Reminds me of that story... how did it go again? Ah, right! A snail, a mantis and an engi walk into a bar....

I swear to god... If you make the new guy commit suicide with your jokes like the last one, I will jump out of the bay doors...

Speaking of which, welcome aboard Olaffson! Too bad about the other slaves that we couldn't save... Into the nebula we go; after taking a hit or two, I don't think we'd want to take chances with the rebels... Olaff, if you don't mind, can you man the engine bay? We could use some extra boost to our thrusters. *mumbles something about plasma storms*

Full speed ahead into the nebula! They'll never find us there! *prays it isn't a plasma storm*

slave traders exploded, so why are you all like "run into the nebula" all of a sudden?

(In my personal experience, rebels are far worse than nebulas, even on the off chance it's a plasma.)

Hence why I want to go full speed ahead into the nebula instead of doubling back
