Figured you'd go with the Flimsy Wizard route again. :P
Oh, yes, forgot number of players. 4-6 players, 4 preferred.

mastahcheese: the key to forum game success is a well-made long-runner. I voted nothing new because I want you to succeed.

Wow, lurker died really quickly.
Dark Bolt, Call Spirit.
Also, this would be really good for a proper game, since mechanics wise, it's really unique.
No action; Force Bolt if in range.

Trilby destroys the first Grinder Worm. Trilby gains a Potion!
Flimsy is no longer in range of anything.
The Imp moves in range of the new foe. Kind of?

The new foe moves just a little bit closer.

Trilby isn't in range to use Call Spirit, so he defaults to Dark Bolt (no cancel clause).
Flimsy uses Force Bolt!
The imp uses a... uh... some sort of... just... DARK WAVE attack thing. Whatever.

Flimsy's splashed with Acid! Yowch! Luckily, he avoids any lasting burns.

How will the adventurers progress?

Yeah, but I'm bored! I'm trying to just stick with Mainspring as my "intensive project" right now.
But I still want some small thing to do.
Also, Darkpaladin could totally abuse one of his class features in such an awesome way. I'll PM my idea to you to see if it would be feasible.

Stuff that nobody reads

contemplate.

Search again, focusing efforts on anything that looks like a..."tilted desk with stuff stuck to it".
You find a tilted glass desk attached to a metal wall. Success! There's a snapped off bit of metal just like your own next to it.

Look in mystery folder, do a little paperwork.
What the hell is this? Troop movements... Strategies... Classified communiques? How the hell did the previous occupant get this stuff?

Continue exploring the cave.
You keep exploring. Your thingy is blipping softly in your backpack.

Light up some incense and inspect the area. How did this happen? What's in the building?
After igniting an incense stick, you look around the shell. Charred corpses are strewn in a circle, facing outwards from the center, where there are scorchmarks on the floor.

Direct team to take out machine gunners while I look for that cat.
Your squad fires back at the sounds of machine-gun fire, and a few screams fly out. You look for cats in the front line trenches. Nope, just men who did not run fast enough. One of them struggles for his gun, weeping and choking.

(Pre-action Questions) Are we in Valhalla allied with reachers? Secondly, how many subs do we have and how armed are we? And do we have a code system in place (ie u-boat alpha, rain on delta 2, etc. (translation: Submarine1 fire at D(elta)estroyer2)
No, you are fighting the North Reaches to protect some of the unaligned states. there are four subs in the pack. You have torpedoes and 80mm deck guns. You have no code system, as you're speaking an entirely fabricated language over the intersub comms.

WHY WAS I IGNORED SO HARD DORSID?!?!?!
You scream at the universe in anguish. You are a REZBOT, the oldest yet made. You are little more than an augmented skeletal figure. You have no inventory or position. You kill with your steelclad fists. RISE.

Ponder for a moment. Have people wearing gas-masks at all time. Send requests to HQ for mobile artillery units. Also, ask for additional reinforcements. If they give me both, ask for a promotion >:)
You get a reinforcement. The reinforcement guy is more senior than you. He gets the glory for future victories. Damn.

Bark at my men again and tell them to just kill the general. I'll kill him myself if I have to.
You do so. By now, they've forgotten what their original objective was, so they just charge off looking for a general to kill.

Retreat to a safe distance :read 'run the fuck away': and hide in one of the hiding spots I've undoubtedly found in the camp.
You barely outrun the cloud, and bury yourself into a tangle of wet, smelly, muddy tarps in the rear camp. This protects you from the worst of the cloud, nose pressed into the mud. You are feeling utterly awful.

Mutter a prayer to Odin for Valkyries to aid our attack and claim our dead if we fail. Communicate with the others as much as needed, but little if possible. Take out the destroyers first. Once they're done, focus on the cruiser. Use a formation to evade destroyers. Capture the cargo ships and send them to Valhalla with one of our subs escorting it. If they fight back, sink them one at a time until they surrender.

Get a silenced weapon, and assassinate this new "Senior officer". Act as innocent as I can.

Go  to trenches to increase moral. Fortify more and do not let the enemy get past us. Try to use my personal spies to sabotage the enemy army.

Have squad cover me and keep taking out machine gunners as I wade into the next trench, and the next, looking for any cats, killing them, and looking for identification tags.

Eh, 3 will work. Just won't get to test all the aspects this time. This changes the odds for a specific player winning to 1:3, or losing to 2:3.

Hell is a big place. It has to be to fit all the souls from infinite universes; it's a universe unto itself, with planets and... well, there is no room for stars, all the planets are bound and locked together, and kept from crushing each other, with massive metal posts, forming a lattice as tight as carbon in a diamond. These posts are big enough to generate their own gravity and collect their own atmospheres, even. And the cities of Hell descend into the molten depths of each planet and rise into the dizzying heights of the air... and there's still not enough room.
The purpose of Hell is to collect souls and prepare them for reincarnation into the infinite universes, hopefully better than when they arrived. Still, no reformation clinic is perfect, especially when understaffed for the job. And while some souls are honored guests of the Heaven Apartment Chain (With over 7777 branches on each planet!), others are as bad as tightly packed prisoners, or worse. Real scumbags, mercenaries, despots, and politicians.
Three such souls were pretty much minding their own business, trying to avoid being noticed by the demonic and angelic wardens, when they got into a fight over who had more wealth and power in life.

You are standing in an alley, between a high-rise bar and brothel, and one of the Heaven Apartment Buildings. It is dark in the alley, but you can see by your own internal soul-light. There are a few other souls passing through the alley, but they are largely ignoring your argument. The closest street is a good kilometer away. You're not sure which of you pulled out your weapons first, but suddenly you're all brandishing them menacingly at each other.
