Well now that I know I'm in a huge forest, I know exactly what to do: MAKE BOWS. Bows AND Crossbows. And Ammunition for those as well.
Train up some horsies for our new friends in return for the smith trainer.
Begin work on damming the river that leads off to poketwo. Maybe build a waterwheel as well?
Create more houses and buildings for our people.

Go meet with the strangers setting up shop. Bring a few "militia" in case things get sour. Greet them peacefully and ask why they have come to Midgaard. And make sure everyone has their axes, cause axes are all purpose tools.

As for everyone else, start digging deeper for better ores or even gems if we're lucky. If its useful, like iron, make swords and basic armor grafts out of them. Othewise, make them into more nails and coins. Create a wood worker's shop so we can have him make spear shafts for pikes and spears, as well as wooden shields. In our crops, plant rope reed or something of the like so we can make some bowstrings with it. And lastly, attempt to domesticate some livestock, preferably sheep
