A chill wind carried a lonesome, broken tune, hushing past ancient dirty graffiti, through desolate forums and abandoned plazas. Not much else stirred in Ermor, for Ermor was dead. A lone spark of light breathed its last in an alley, marking the end of the night's watch for Ruslan. A new day of looting the foreboding imperial capitol with the other hired help. Despite its advanced age, its decrepitude and ruination, much remained of the city's former glory. Even petty trinkets could be sold to sentimental collectors at a price nearly worth the risk. Barring that, maybe the excitement would justify braving this place. He was getting paid for this, right? The creepy old man seemed wealthy enough. Hell, Ruslan and his brothers might even get to loot him, given his obvious malaise. Ruslan frowned, and willed his benumbed body to action. Good things were coming his way, of that he was certain.

Me miserable! which way shall I fly
Infinite wrath, and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is Hell; myself am Hell;
And, in the lowest deep, a lower deep
Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the Hell I suffer seems a Heaven.

We declare war on He-Man's gynophobia.

Praise the divine Menstruatorium, in which Holy Flow of the celestial Va Jay Jay pools!
Bathe in the sanguine offerings and drink of its living waters!
Splash around and gurgle to your heart's content!

(also, LOL Agartha's intro :D)

wait we're roleplaying? i chose the absolute best possible pretender name then

in-character:

"#rickroll #SWAG"

My initial commander's name was Sextus, but I think the prophet of #unfunny meme deserves a much more awful name than even that. More importantly, it looks like only one throne is blocking a major chokepoint; in my test games I often ran into a level 2/3 throne that prevented my expansion parties from crossing and stunted my expansion. I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the many chokepoints on this map, but I'm willing to give it a try.

Default, so 5, yeah. That doesn't mean there aren't extremely evil short straws that can be drawn. The Dominions RNG is a cruel and capricious entity.

Reports that come in next turn will no doubt show 3 provinces full of knights and a forest full of bloodhenge druids.

Question:  Did we start at 48 hrs?

Also, bloodhenge druids aren't so tough.  You just need to mindblast all of the druids, which completely bypasses the vine things!

Well, the admin options claim interval is 24h, but yeah, the next turn isn't due for another 24h past that. Hopefully that was just a quirk of the first turn, though I've no idea why it would be.

Huh. So "Score Graphs Disabled" only means in-game, and Llamaserver will still broadcast them to all and sundry. Huh. Not sure how I feel about that, aside from slightly betrayed...

Yeah, I've just noticed. Speaking of which, what are the four "special monsters" slots for?

Hmm... not sure. Bogus, assorted horrors, and two other severely unfortunate styles of events?

The front of the temple was littered with potsherd and the disembodied limbs and heads of statues. Perhaps, in the past, the people of Ermor raged against the gods and threw their might against what they could. Even impotent rage would prove unfailing, given the lack of resistance from these lifeless objects. Perhaps looters other than Ruslan had already gone through the temple and broken these, perhaps thinking they were filled with offerings. Ruslan kept his thoughts to himself, and stalked after the others into the temple. His steps rang in the gloomy hall in cacophony with the others'. Giving his eyes time to adjust, Ruslan looked on as the greediest of the band took to turning over the place. Broken things, bones and dust. Nothing of value.

"Wot're we here for, geezer", shouted one of the looters with an imperious tone, "huh?"

The old man was in what seemed like silent reverie before the once-majestic throne and altar to the god of death, and deigned no answer. Perhaps he had died right then and there, kneeling almost as if in prayer. Bittersweet irony, thought Ruslan, as darkness swam before his eyes.

-

Had to request a re-send of the turn. Exciting. It's a shame I spoiled the results of my brave expansion with the graphs - should we agree not to look at them, or should we agree that they're fair game?
