I posed a pointed "do we need to look for a sub" question via PM; if Boksi is still active on the forums, I've no problem waiting another day for a response.

The problem is that R'lyeh may be in that sweet spot where subbing would be an exercise in frustration, but not subbing would be an unfair advantage to me and Margrave (indeed, I'd expect the AI to make a hash of things and lose the squid's outstanding land holdings to Mictlan w/in 2 turns at the most, whereas right now it's been a stalemate for well over a year). But Boksi is better equipped to judge that than I am.

I have! I could definitely forgive ser Boksi for leaving the building. It's a bit of a mess over here. By which I mean I'm not sure every ounce of my flailing will be able to do much better than the AI would if one of you folks actually decide to squish me, haha. There's... really not much left, and most of what is isn't in very good shape.

Still. There's gems left, and some bodies. I'll flitter away the treasury and then die screaming, I think.

Though out of curiosity, if y'all don't mind sharing, have you lot been systematically slaughtering all the starspawn or has r'lyeh just not been fielding them? I've inherited, like. Six.

And, uh. Did boksi have any ongoing arrangements with anyone?

(This was the last major offensive action I saw from R'lyeh, and IIRC it accounted for a couple of the more unpleasant of their starspawn; i.e., I wanna say there were two capable of casting turn one Master Enslaves.)

The western front hasn't been kind to them. If I recall correctly, the eastern front hasn't done them any favors, either. Oh, and I know for certain more died in the south. So yeah, we haven't precisely been practicing fisheries management WRT our starspawn harvest.

Just how much health do those sentinels have in your dominion? If I recall correctly, you've also got Gift of Health so... probably a ton?

Well, that was two turns before I cast Gift of Health, and as you of all pretenders can See, Vanarus is on the edge of my dominion, so Golem Cult was not in full effect. When that battle occurred, they had a measly 42 health (or 56 when they got blessed, but I had screwed up my scripting and only around a third of the Sentinels were blessed - so most were 42 and non-regenerating). Right now, they've got, um, more. In the deepest pits of Argatha, they boast 100 - 132 when blessed.

They'll be all right. They'll either submit their turn sometime in the next three hours, or the OCD admin will push hosting time 12h.

(Llamaserver's admin options are something I can trivially set an alarm to check on my phone and extend in around 30s if need be, so I've developed some bad "just in time" habits regarding game hosting times when they overlap with free time.)

(Although since we're already on the topic, and we are under 3h to host time, I'm pushing 12h now.)

Apologies for the delay, folks! It won't happen again (probably). I spent most of last night away and forgot that the turn was due so soon. Fortunately, I wasn't doing anything important anyways so a stale wouldn't have mattered much.

By the way, My Own Etimmu is finally permanently down. We can all breath easier at that beast's final destruction.

90 gems worth of golem and kit for 50 gems worth of global, huzzah! Hall of famer, too, for all that its bonus was kinda' cruddy on an SC.

... now if only I weren't quite sure that's less than a turn worth of Argatha's gem income :V

What's that? Who found that amulet? The caster of the global? How does this work exactly?

The elemental did. And then dissolved, taking the amulet with it. Which is to say it doesn't work, exactly.

Yeah, that one was kinda embarrassing. It really comes down to the kit it was loaded with, and the fact that astral Golems really are squishy when you get right down to it (though they fare much more favorablely on their home turf, obviously), but that still smarts. Although, yes, the gems are a drop in the bucket - a noticeable drop, but still a drop.

(Oh, and if I may tip my hand a bit, as far as that HoF bonus goes, welcome to my world. Of the four assorted golems that've gotten into the HoF, one - one! - has gotten a non-leadership bonus - and naturally, it was the only one of the four whose leadership wasn't zero...)
