Because in general they were just, poor. The elven sites had nothing other than elves around, the dwarven sites were just a big square hole in the ground basically.

Theres probably other reasons, but they did need to be caught up with the amount of detail that the human sites have.

You mean the elven forest retreats, the goblin fortresses, and the dwarvern fortresses?

I heard that they were removed because they weren't very interesting or fun to play in, so were taken out until they could get remade.

According to the wiki entry, elf retreats had no buildings, elves just stood around in a field. Dwarvern and Goblin fortresses were mostly empty, but were very large, making them boring and difficult to explore.

Also, ninja'd.

I remember the dwarven sites being just a square hole in the ground with dwarves scattered around the area.

Arguably, that's still better than the nothingness currently at those sites. When I first got the game I went on these long treks into the mountain and explored every inch surrounding looking for a way in.

It sucked, especially since the wiki still says there is a site there.

I'm just going off the wiki, I haven't played 40d before.

What about the goblin sites? I've seen some youtube videos of them in the past, but it's a little bit hazy. Which was the lastest version in which sites were still in?

Goblin sites were large, mostly empty towers, if I remember right.

The last version that had sites was 40d, which was released all the way back in 2008.

Alright my research as come at a stand still, but I seen some sites in human cities i've never seen before. I have only saw the mead hall but that was it. Every time I speak to a warlord, I can't use (+) and (-) when chatting so i'm just stuck there. As I type, i'm stuck in a chatting conversation and can't use (ESC). I fear I can't take off the window! What do I do, HELP!

Try pressing enter? I don't think it's any different from the keybindings now.

Alright guys I found what was wrong and continued my research. I Joined a religion, where a chuch was and I did the fabled ability to speak with my deity. As sead your god (remains silent) When you speak with him. Also, Guards actually patrol rather standing in one station. Right now i'm heading for a ruined fort, then a goblin fortress wish me luck.

The sites are returning in the next version, FYI. New and improved.

Update: I actually went to the dark fortress first. As BlackFlyme predicted, it was very desolate. It had an abundance of humans though than gobbos, more likely baby snatched. I'm still exploring the top floor as the movement keys in this version aren't cooperative.

Update: Since it was to dark to see anything I took rest. It seems sleeping takes an enormous time to load or the fact I'm sleeping in a site.
