Minority Rule 2.0
Helloes all! This is a game I've hosted before on other forums, tweaked for a new and hopefully improved experience. Minority Rule is a game of logic and chance. The objective is to be the last one or two players standing.
After registration, rounds will begin. Each round, the host will provide a random pool of Items to choose from. A total list of all possible Items is located below. Each player will privately pick an Item (through PM) from the provided Item pool, and at the end of the round, picks will be tallied.
All players who picked the Item with the most number of picks are eliminated, hence the name Minority Rule. In addition to this main rule, Items have other conditions that may result in elimination, so it's important to choose wisely. The number of Items in the pool will always be fewer than the number of players remaining, as to guarantee eliminations every round. For example, if there are 8 players remaining, there will only be 3-5 Items in the pool to pick from. Also, if two Items are tied for most picks (after Item effects have finished triggering), all players who picked the tied items are eliminated!
At the start of each round, players may be announced Hero status from the results of previous rounds. Hero status lasts for that round, and allows the player to pick any Item in the game, regardless of whether it is in that round's pool of Items. A player cannot remain a Hero for more than 1 turn.
Preliminary list of possible Items:
Death - If more than one player picks Death, everyone who picked Death is eliminated
Life - If only one player picks Life, he/she is eliminated
Love - If more players picked Love than Hate, the last player to pick Hate is eliminated. Always appears with Hate.
Hate - If more players picked Hate than Love, the last player to pick Love is eliminated. Always appears with Love.
Faith - Any player who picks Faith rolls a number between 1 and 4. If he/she rolls a 1, he/she is eliminated. If he/she rolls a 3 or 4, he/she becomes a Hero for next round.
Power - A random player who picked Power becomes a Hero for next round.
Wagon - If Wagon is the most picked Item, the second most picked Item becomes the most picked Item. If all players picked Wagon, a random two-thirds of all players are eliminated.
Random - At the end of the round, Random becomes another random Item.
Time - The first and last players to pick Time become Heroes for next round.
Isolation - Players who pick Isolation automatically pick Loneliness for the next round, even if Loneliness is not in the next round's Item pool.
Loneliness - If exactly one player picks Loneliness, he/she becomes a Hero for next round.
Hope - If Hope is the most picked Item, a random player who picked Hope is saved from elimination and becomes a Hero for next round.
Pride - If Pride is tied for the most picked Item, Pride becomes the least picked Item.
Betrayal - If Betrayal is tied for the least picked Item, it becomes the most picked Item.
Memory - Players who picked Memory the previous turn can pick it again this turn, even if it isn't in the Item pool. Maximum of two consecutive picks.
Once - Players who have picked Once in a previous round cannot pick it again.
Chaos - As long as one or more players picked Chaos, all players who didn't pick Chaos roll a random number between 1 and 6. If they roll 1, they are eliminated.
Stay - As long as one or more players picked Stay, Stay will remain in the next round's Item pool.
Clone - If Clone is in an Item pool, it becomes another Item already in the pool.
Illusion - If Illusion is in an Item pool, its name becomes the name of another random Item. It still acts as Illusion when picked (that is, there is no effect).
Registration begins now - post something like "I'm in" to register. Any number of players is acceptable; the more the better!
