Artemis dives down for cover with the chairs, and fires at green! (2) His bullet takes his hat clean off!
Dumbo tries to empty his gun on everyone around him! (1) At the first pull of the trigger, his trusty revolver fails him, and he feels his body begin filling with lead.
The person next to dumbo tries to grab scaps as he falls, but he's already hit the floor, so he take vengeance and (4) blasts dumbo, finishing him!
Chink grabs his fallen enemy's gun and rushes outside, it's still jammed.
Green tries to fire back at the attacker from across the room, (2) but his aim fails as krath collects his winnings in green's blood.
Gold fires on the madman across the tavern, (4) and gets him good! He's not sure if it was him or that other guy who did him in, though.
Krath takes better aim this time, (5) and shoots green right in the chest, a solid retribution.
Dewy decides to keep being a prick, and aims right at the stupid guy's head (1) His gun gives an ominous "click" as (5) the stupid guy snatches dewy's gun from him, continuing in his non-violent ways.

Well, if the statistics hold true, then every round, as long as everyone shoots, then 1/3 of the players will be killed unless using cover.
Another third will be injured, and will die if hit again, so every turn after the first, it's over 1/3 that will die.
So if there are ~20, then the odds are that ~7 will die, and ~7 will be wounded on the first turn.
Hm...let's assume everyone shot at by exactly one other person. Easier that way.
In a 20-player game, one would expect every player to be at least wounded by turn 3 or 4, and the game to be over by turn 5, assuming perfectly even wound distribution, which isn't happening.

EDIT: Criminy, left out gun jamming...yeah, that throws everything out of whack. Even more than the non-totally-fair distribution of getting shot does.
Of course this all assumes that none gets targeted by multiple people.

Woah, did not read the original post right.

Shoot SSG with the other guy's gun, the who was dead the previous turn already!

(Yes, cover shifts the damage range one to the left, making It less lethal. Attempting to dual wield shifts it two to the left, unless you get the gunslinger perk after the round, and then it's just 1.
So trying to dual wield and fire at someone in cover would only let you score a hit on a 6, and then it's just a leg shot.)
