((It's April Fool's Day. I implied that you waited until then intentionally.))
[Doesn't sound like a joke to me. Most people say those things naturally :v
Also: Timezones. It's April 2 here. Forum has it at April 1.]

TURN FIFTEEN: CRUX OF CONFLICT

Create one single golem with 4 arms, that will be dedicated to making more golems. Feel the rock blocking the doorway for heat. If none exists, start pushing rock out of doorway. Get golems to help.
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)
Rune
You get about trying to create a larger, multi-armed golem that will assist you in the creation of your golem army. Though you try hard, this golem is much more difficult to create - especially while under the pressure of the volcano erupting not too far from you. This golem doesn't turn out too well: although the body is okay, the two extra arms are weird and lob-sided.
You go out to the door and, fortunately, it seems only mildly warm. You push it slightly open and look up. Yes, there is a flood of lava coming towards you. Good news? Oh yeah, forgot about that. There is a rock ledge over your cave that should prevent the lava from getting into your cave. Even more bad news: there is a ring of lava circling in the air, along with a dome of ice creeping into the sky.
You should be protected in your cave, unless whoever's out there is targeting you (doubt it).

Attempt to command the iguanas to get off of the jacket-boy. If this fails, drag them off.
Warren Drake
It seems to be more of a comical situation than it is a dangerous one. At most, the iguanas are annoying Cecil. Well, maybe you'll save him the fate of dying from a weird combination of laughter and pain. You snap at the iguanas to come by your side and they follow immediately, almost like pets. They sit by your legs and look up to you obediently.
Cecil, now having recovered from the iguana attack, stands up and asks why none of them attacked you. You shrug and say maybe they just didn't really know that you were there, and that he was closer to them. You think it was probably Darzenis who sent these iguanas, but you're not telling Cecil yet. You don't even know too much on that subject, anyways.
It looks as if Cecil is about to say something else when he doubles over and falls to his knees, cradling his head. You crouch next to him and try to get him to tell you what's wrong, but he is unable to talk.

I- Hey- That hurts, you know! Cecil says as he tries to stop moving. They're not really -attacking- him. I thought you little guys were bears or something.
Hey, how come that one's not all up in your face, Sir? Cecil asks the man.
Cecil G. Palmer
Fortunately, the good-natured Atisi gentleman calls to the iguanas and they follow him like dogs. To be honest, it's not like you were in any real trouble - they were just getting really annoying. You ask Warren if he knows why the iguanas did not attack him, and he simply shrugs and says that they must not have seen him. You're suspicious of this considering that the iguanas are following him around, but you leave him be. It's not like you can do much anyways...
...Considering that you've just been hit by a searing headache. It's so derailing that you can't stand or see anymore. You shut your eyes as hard as possible and fall to your knees, praying that the pain will end.
HELLOOOOOOO! An incredibly loud rasp echos through your mind, further amplifying the headache.
Darzenis, what in the burning Atis are you doing? You'rrrre on the wrong frequency! Get out of herrrre! A deeper purr sounds through your mind. It sounds less like the original rasp and more like a low rumble.
Darzenis, no one likes you. Get out, I'm already having trouble contacting the Medium, and you're not helping by meddling with this frequency. Out! This time, the voice is much more like a human, presumably a female. She sounds rather obnoxious, but at this point everything sounds obnoxious. You hear another loud hiss from the original voice.
FINEE! I'll heelp my Guuuarrddiiiannn inssstead. Byyeee! The original voice fades out, but the two other voices continue to talk in hushed tones, with white noise blocking their words out.

Get an ice pack if one is available from the fridge or whatever, try to cool this woman off with it if possible. It's a bit desperate, but you never know, maybe it could work.
Eh Ah
You run back into the kitchen area and throw open the refrigerator, looking for an ice pack. You find a couple of them in store, but you only take one for now. As you hurry back to the bathroom, the older of the two children asks sleepily, "M-mommy? W-where is mommy?" You spare a quick look his way, but you're not sure how much longer the mother will last. You get her the ice pack and place it near her forehead, trying to cool her down. You really hope that she's not gonna die here, especially not in this way. You touch her arm... and the oddest sort of phenomenon happens.
You are frozen in place by some sort of charged flow running through your body. It's not so much of an electric feeling as it is more of a viscous fluid feeling. As odd as it is, you associate this feeling with the color blue... nevertheless, you can't move yourself, so you just watch as a blue glow comes from your veins running down into your arm. It eventually snakes its way into the veins within your hand and the trail emerges from the tips of your fingers, traveling into the veins of the mother's arm. The whole scene lights up the room with an odd mixture of blue and red light, due to the lava on the far side of Aecrocia. Eventually the blue light trails through her veins into her throat and her head. It circles around there for a few moments, and as you are sufficiently freaked out, you force your arm away. It budges and the light fades away quickly.
She doesn't look too good right now, but you definitely see improvement. She's not breathing as hard and her skin has a sort of flush to it now. You don't know what that energy was, but it's bought her maybe a couple more hours. That's enough time to get out of here, you think.

Flood their ships with water and watch them drown
Alex Raman
Revenge is sweet, especially when it comes in the form of having an entire body of freezing water at your command, to sink the enemy ships with ease. You lift your hands and coordinate them to send more shards of ice flying towards the ships, along with some ice growing around and in the ships. They don't stand a chance. The other three ships that had survived your first attack are crumpled and shredded like paper. You can see little dots, like ants, jumping off of the ships. You're not going to spare them: you force the ocean to yield more ice to encase the invaders within.
As much as you enjoy your little killing spree, something has caught your attention below you: the lava from the volcano seems to be moving with purpose, and is now melting your ice dome. You look back and find the bat-winged, red-glowing man, still fighting with an immense aura. You're getting the hint that he's probably the one controlling the lava, and undermining your chance for a killing spree.
You can't let that happen, can you? No. Besides, he's going to burn the island to a crisp, and while you'd certainly enjoy that, your girlfriend might be somewhere down there, along with family members.

"Lirian, we need to go through the tunnels. I don't know how far in, but we need to go there. We'll find help in there."
Cromwell Jackson & Lirian [autoaction]
Heeding the advice of your feline friend, you suggest to Lirian that you take the tunnel route and see where it takes out. Lirian is hesitant at first, not wanting to leave the shack area. After a short while, she suggests that your kitten walk alongside the two of you, and you can use the bag for storing some food - you can worry about your nonexistent water supply later. The both of you head back to the shack and store the prepared rabbit meat and seeds inside of your backpack, and finally you begin heading out.

The tunnel isn't that long, maybe about a hundred yards long. Going through the other side, you're on a relatively flat area that leads out with a road, the river snaking through the valley to your right. The area is still covered with forest trees, but they're not so thick as to block your vision. You continue onward, snacking on seeds occasionally. You try to make small talk with Lirian, but something seems to be on her mind, distracting her. After a while, you come to a point where the forest starts thinning out. Not too far from you, you can see the tops of some relatively simple houses. On your left is a massive mountain and to your right the river leads its own way into the middle of the houses. From here you can't tell the size of the community, but it's large enough that it's worth a look.

Make the volcano spew more lava, and let it flow to the shore, burning all in its wake and melting the floes of hated ice around the island.
Unknown
You have some difficulty making the volcano spew forth more lava. You don't know if it's simply that the volcano is empty - that doesn't seem likely for an explosive eruption this large. Oh well, you have plenty to work with already. You guide the lava towards the shoreline near the bay, barely missing the city of Aecrocia. It's very slow-moving, but you still get it to the shoreline, regardless of whatever plant life it must burn through. It's a fascinating sight, the burning inferno and the energetic lava crawling over the landscape.

Eventually, the lava meets the ice and immediately begins melting it. Throughout the melting, you keep your eyes on the green-electricity kid floating in the air, just like you. He seems busy concentrating on tearing apart the invading ships below, which he's doing a good job with. However, once the ice starts melting, he turns himself towards you to find out what's messing with his power.
You're not sure if he'll accept you and continue freezing away, or begin to fight you. Either way, you're prepared and more than ready to go. You keep a ring of lava and fire spinning around you as a precautionary defense.

See if there' any edible plants nearby.
Jorji Constanza
You start your search for a free and new beautiful world through the search for food. A man can't start a new life without food to eat, right? Unfortunately, there's not much food to go around right now. It seems as if the snow has barely melted here, and weather is not warm enough to encourage the growth of fruits and other edible plants. Out of curiosity, you do take out a few pines from a tree and chew on them to keep you busy. It's somewhat sweet, so it'll keep you occupied, for the time being.
Eventually, you do come across two rabbits. They look nice enough - the only weird thing is that they are not running away from you. Normally, that's what rabbits do, right? Oh well. Might as well take the time to play with them for now!

((For reference, you've wandered about a couple of miles from your camp on the shoreline.))

Diana watched the bears draw close as the energy builds up inside her. She knew that people hopped up on adrenaline did the impossible, that story about the kid who dragged a rock ten times bigger then him off his parents.
Hoping for something similar Diana visualize drawing on the energy and hoped it helped against the foes before her.
Diana Crown
Something changes within you. Some gear is set into motion. Once again, you think it is adrenaline, but it's much more powerful than that. You can almost feel an electricity around you, charging you, allowing you to move into battle. You kick yourself off the ground and move to combat the first bear in front of you. The guard should be able to take care of the other one, and you'll still have to worry about your brother.
[SPD: 3v2] You get the advantage of speed over the bear in front of you and get the first attack in. [2v4] Your attack begins sloppily and you give the bear enough time to move out of your way as you try to throw in a hook from the left. He goes in for his own strike and [4v3] rakes you across the face with his right arm, drawing a lot of blood and leaving an ugly wound on your left cheek. The rake marks aren't too deep, but you're losing an unsettling amount of blood. You back up to attack again. This time, one of the other bears has wandered over to you now, too. There is no turning back. You run full speed to the bear that attacked you and [7] bring your hand towards the sky, summoning a flash in the clouds. You bring your fist down in the direction of the bear, and you feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up as a shot of lightning absolutely fries the bear and cracks the ground with enormous amounts of energy. The other two bears are scared off, subsequently. You can't even hear the thunder going off, though you're sure that your brother and the guard did. There's still blood dripping from your cheek, but it doesn't hurt as much now - there's too much adrenaline running through your system.

You have no idea where that came from, but it was awesome.

I wait to see who the Empress addresses, I bow. If she is trying to speak with me, then I walk slightly forward and say the following line.
"Your Imperial Majesty, if I may be so bold, I believe introductions are in order. This man to my -right or left, whichever- is the current president and effective leader of Aecrocia, though you may already know of him."
((When faced with greatest challenge, the third most ancient tactic is put to best use: passing the buck.))
You're all prepared to place the blame on the President, who really is the one in charge here. Instead, the Empress slows down to a stop and stares at the President instead. It seems that she finally has the idea that you're not the head honcho around here; either that, or she recognizes something within the President. It seems to be a mixture of both, as she walks straight up to the President with the same killer stare that she gave to you. At this point, you're a mere bystander.
"What in the devil's name are you trying to pull here?" She points through the glass roof towards the volcano, which is spurting out lava, as well as the two flying figures above the volcano.
The President splutters, trying to come up with an excuse. He could have had the chance to take control of the situation and use her lack of knowledge to his advantage. No, wait, he does just that, actually.
"Well, Your Highness, this is simply one of the natural defenses of the island. If you would like to leave us alone, I may put the situation under my control..."
Seira actually stamped her foot on the ground. She seems to be bratty, though given her stature as a military empress of the ages, she does have some room to do so.
"Hell if this is actually a natural defense of the island! I am not giving this island up, freakish eruption or not." Just then, one of Seira's guards rushes in the group from the other side of Summer Hall.
"Y-your Highness! The fleet... it's.. the fleet has been annihilated. The Eleazer, Timor, Freightor, Kleaton, Manner... all five of these ships are destroyed. The few remaining are incapacitated and sinking." The guard catches his breath and is hesitant, afraid of what Seira might say. The Empress simply stares ahead. You can see her skin become pale. After a few moments, her expression changes to anger, and she whirls around on the President, pulling out a small metal rod with glowing lime-green vials embedded into it.
"I am not afraid to blow Aecrocia to kingdom come for what you and your stupid island have done! Give me a goddamn reason for all of this nonsense and the destruction of my fleet, or everyone here dies within seconds!"
"I know you are many thing, Empress Theyin, but I know you are not a murderer. You wouldn't dare. Simply surrender, and no harm will come to you."
"Try me, you fat sack of lard. Try me." The empress thumbs around the edge of the rod in her hand dangerously. Whatever it is, it is making a dangerous hum.
The President simply poses a steely staredown with the Empress. You're afraid that if you don't step in, Seira will activate whatever she has with her. Either that, or the guards will start turning on each other, and the President doesn't seem to want to propose a solution.

Author's Note: Eh, not much to put here. There's some developmental parts here and there, but for the most part, the conflict is rising. Which is good.
Good day or night to all, and to all a happy beginning of April.

They are made from the clay in the mountain and, assuming you bake them properly, they're indeed magmaproof.

First, grab my pick. Then, order the most durable looking of my golems to the front of the cave- have him grab me, then make a desperate run away from the lava. Have the other golems follow directly behind. Once safe, count how many golems I have, and give the pick to the first golem I created. Tell him to start mining for supplies and stone. Then climb a tree and survey the area.
