Yeah, seriously. You can't run a novelesque RTD like this without getting all the players to post and giving people some time between updates.

Hmmm...

Good point :(
Since all the posts are in, I'm finally able to complete the post tomorrow - it's 60% done right now.
Also, this is going to be a long RtD with long turns, and I don't want to leave anyone out at the timescale that I am working on. I'll try to get the updates every 3-4 days but it's not a guarantee.

Yeah, I didn't really realize this was a more "Story-Based" RTD, as I usually read only my rolls, and a few others that looked more interesting as I skimmed them over. And my actions are barely story-material, with me simply creating clay items to solve practical problems.

TURN FOURTEEN: DANCES OF ICE AND FIRE


"That's... not very good."
See if there are safer places to take the woman to, further away from the windows. Wonder if I can do anything to treat her with any available materials. Do all that's in my power to help.
Eh Ah
Currently, you are in a kitchen with an island bar. To your left is a corner window-wall that looks out over the bay, and the door is to your right, along with the living room.  Even closer to your right is small hallway that leads into two bedrooms and a bathroom. Unfortunately, both bedrooms have window-walls that overlook the rest of the city, so you decide to take her into the bathroom. At least the bathroom might have a medicine cabinet. To move her, you must wake up the kids - who promptly start crying loudly - and you manage to move her into the bathroom next to the cabinet. Searching the cabinet, you find only over-the-counter medicines to help combat some symptoms such as the fever and maybe a cold, but you don't think it'll help her much. You give her some of the medicine for the fever anyways before she begins coughing violently. You're afraid that she's getting worse. Much/i] worse.

An odd glow fills the room. You look back to the bedrooms and tense up immediately. Outside, near the edge of Aecrocia. You can see a wave of lava flowing towards the city. Even stranger than that is the circle of ice that is growing and hugging the island.
Not to mention the hurricane of lava and ice flying above the island, twisting in and out as if the fire and ice are dancing with each other.


Smash down with powers of ice and death against the cowardly raider ships that refuse to fight me on my true form "I am the gaurdian of ice and death! You shall fear house Raman!"

You feel like a god with all of your might and your icy wrath. The ocean surges up to meet your demand of ice and frost, working at your behest. From this distance, you can spot seven ships below you.
Wouldn't hurt to ruin their day to make up for your day being ruined, would it?
You use your power to break off massive amounts of ice from the ring circling the island (which is still growing, mind you). You spin all of the pieces around you in a massive whirl of white shards and blue malice.
And then you let it all fly, fly towards the marauding fleet of bandits and conquerors. The ice rips through the poor vessels at an insane velocity, and although the ice is pretty fragile, the force behind it allows it to tear through the ships with ease and splinter inside. You instantly break one of the ships in half, and three of the others are looking worse for wear.The others ships respond by sending a volley of projectiles flying towards you, but it's no use: you can dodge them with ease. The only problem is that they may land somewhere on the island, though at this point you're not really worried about that. You're worried about your revenge. And revenge you are having.
You continue sending more of the ice shards towards the ships. If you keep this up, they won't stand much of a chance.


Quickly as I can, have ALL the golems make another golem and set them to bake
The lava will be gone, so the heat will slowly fade, meaning I need to find more. In the meantime, I can use what's left to my advantage.

Right now, lava isn't much of a concern. There's plenty of that flowing down the mountain to heat your cave up. No, that's not a good thing: you're afraid that some of it might flow into your cave. Nevertheless, you get your golems to work on making even MORE golems. MORE!
It's an odd feeling, being able to see things from the point of views of the golems' minds. You're able to control them all and smooth the newly created golems out, then put them on the forge part of the cave. Two of the newly created golems look pretty good, though the third one could use more work later.
You flinch as explosions occur outside. Looks like the volcano is getting even angrier. You're not sure if you should go outside to check, or finish up your work with the golems. Eventually, you'll create enough golems to take over the world!
Hopefully... also, you could use some more practice in the golem-controlling department.

((I'm sorry that this is rather short, but I didn't have much time and wanted to get this update out. Also, there's not much else to describe, since you're stuck in a cave right now. Making golems make more golems and more golems, et cetera et cetera...))

Look towards the scream. Look for the other guys who were here.
Warren Drake
You get yourself ready for a fight and look in the direction of the scream. Unfortunately, your vision is blocked from wherever the scream came from. Also, you have more important things to worry about at this point. Something is rustling around in the marshlands near you. It doesn't take much to find the jacket boy, who is making a poor attempt to scare away whatever is nearby with an aggressive tone and demeanor.
It's not working very well.
You can't find the other hobo guy, though. Where did he wander off to? Oh well, you have a bigger threat to look after. You take a combat stance for a few moments, not breathing, waiting out the aggressors. You see a flash of green within the stalks and leaves of the marshland shrubs. This is the moment. The flash of green springs out at you...
and topples you over. But it's not exactly what you expected. It, for the matter, is an iguana. As odd as it may seem, the iguana almost looks as if he is smiling. You push him off you, but he doesn't react. He sits by your side like a dog. You look over to your right and find that two other iguanas are accosting the jacket boy, trying to bite at his arms as he flails around and yells threats.


This is not the time for one of your headaches, Cecil! Cecil thinks. He stands, making sure to kick up some dust in the direction of the noise.
Wildlife doesn't like noises, right? I remember hearing that.
He starts stomping about, and saying in a loud voice, Hey! You! Go away! We're here right now!
Cecil G. Palmer
You strike an attempt at psychologically deferring your enemies' attempt to attack you. Hey, it wouldn't hurt to try, right? It's not like you have much fighting power physically, anyways. It seems to work for a moment: whatever is in the shrubs hesitates for a few moments, making you think that you have won them over and that they won't attack you.
Heh. Too bad.
Two iguanas spring out of the bushes and push you over with ease. You swat at them to try and push them away, but it's not much use. They bit at your arms and legs and cause you to yell out, but you're not able to fight them. They're quicker then you are, sadly. Worse, a third iguana joins in the fray. It hurts and it's annoying, but you can't do much to fight them.
The newcomer simply stands near you, completely confused. You wonder why he's not being attacked, but not as much as you wonder why you are being tortured by iguanas.


You can't control chaos, only guide it. Stoke the fires and let the lava flow. Everything must burn if I am to win the battle against this scion of order.
Unknown
You can feel the power growing, surging within and around you. The only thing left for you to do is to fuel the chaos, and to that end you will accomplish.
You use all of your might to summon the lava from within the volcano, causing the night sky to be lit up with a fiery display of heat. You let it all drop onto the island crashing in waves down into the city and the forest and the Kingdom, setting the entire island ablaze. It feels good and it feels horrible at the same time. It's a wonderful exposition of your power as a Guardian, and you're not going to stop yet. You use your willpower to fuel the flames further, making the fire only grow in power and burning with even more might.
Below you, you spot the cyclone of ice shooting down towards some ships out on the ocean. Those are the ships that invaded the island, that brought the invading soldiers, that killed the blacksmith. You watch all of the ships fall apart under the hailstorm of ice. It feels wonderful watching the ships go down.

And there is only more to come with the burning of the island. Oh, there is so much more that you can do with your power. You're not even halfway there.


Get exploring. Look for tools to make fire with, and learn my way around the area in the daytime. Again, make sure I don't get wet. Keep an eye out for small game I can take down to get some food using my knives. See if I can find out where that road goes.
Follow after her.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name last night. I'm Cromwell."
Cromwell holds out his hand for a handshake, holding the kitten in his other arm.
Cromwell Jackson & Lirian
Lirian decides to take the initiative and sets out to find survival supplies, along with any landmarks of civilization if possible. Lirian looks around for any flint or maybe a few good, dry branches to work with, but finds that most of the branches are still wet and flint is naught.
After a while of going around to explore, you both find that the shack is located on the side of a valley with the frozen river cradled inside of it. To the left of the shack, the side of the valley climbs up and extends out as a plateau for a good while. The right side continues to climb steeply and leads to quite a varied mountain range. You can see snow on the peaks of the mountain, but most of the snow has thawed at the lower elevations. The road leads further down the valley and eventually meets with a T-intersection, a stone bridge, and a tunnel on the left. It's all very rudimentary and incredibly old, but the bridge and the tunnel look stable enough.
Finally, Lirian is lucky enough to find a couple of rabbits that she can kill. She sneaks up silently and, with finesse, throws two of her knives in quick succession towards the rabbits. They don't even get the chance to move before they are both struck down. You are even luckier than that with the finding of a small stash of seeds inside a log near the rabbits. You're not sure if the rabbits put the seeds there, but at least you have some dry food now.
Meanwhile, Cromwell periodically checks with his kitten to see if he will talk again. Unfortunately, the kitten does not seem to want to talk to you anymore, simply licking his paws as a response to your questions. You follow along with Lirian and discuss with her the nature of your arrival, certainly an odd arrival at that. You still have not much clue as to what is up with the kitten and the panther, though you have a feeling you'll learn in short time.
As you and Lirian check the stone bridge and the tunnel, your kitten meows quietly. You look down to him for an answer. He is quite sleepy, but he finally speaks up.
"Follow in tunnels. Tilun is near. Tilun is a friend. Tilun will help."
Your kitten promptly begins to nap again, purring with content. For context, you still have your bag with you, which is used to carry your kitten at the moment. It doesn't have much else except for some office papers and a few memories of home.
Lirian returns to Cromwell with some game, in the form of two dead rabbits. It'll feed you for a couple of days or so, along with some seeds that she found. Still no materials to make fire, unfortunately.


Grab a weapon(branch or something) and tell Adam to leg it.
Diana Crown
You look around for something to use as a weapon. There's really nothing that you can use. What kind of swampy wetland with trees doesn't have any kind of accessible branches just lying around? At least the guard has a sword that he can use to help you out, though he doesn't look like he's doing too hot in the morale department. Doesn't help that your brother is tensed up and spouting optimistic nonsense like an idiot. You ask him kindly to get the heck out of there, but he is adamant. Despite the fact that he couldn't win a fight against a bunny, he yells that he will not be bested by such feeble threats that nature throws at him.

Again, said like an idiot.

The bears seem to have some notion of intelligent combat. They split up to take one person each. Your brother moves around to the back and cowers behind the two of you in front. The guard pulls to the front with his sword, but doesn't seem too confident. When you look towards the bears again, you can't help but shake the feeling that these bears are unnatural. They have sunken eyes and an aura of hatred and fear around them.

You feel yet again the slight surge of energy within you. It's almost like an adrenaline rush, but it feels much, much deeper than that. You don't know how you're going to fight these bears, but they're almost on top of your little group now. You have to act fast.


Go around searching for paths and signs of human life.
Jorji Constanza
Your group of misfits has just been attacked by marauding iguanas, possibly getting their faces accosted by reptilian life, and you are worried about finding new paths and signs of human life.
I have to give you credit for trailblazing here though, I mean, who cares about those other guys anyways? Ha. Ha ha.
With the sounds of yelling, shouting, and screaming in the background, you set off to find new life. You spend about a good hour, maybe more, walking through the arch that welcomes you to the entrance of a new world. (Again, forget the other guys, let's just find new roads.) You are being walked through a valley, with a set of mountain ranges to your left and to your right. The ground slowly transitions from being moist and soft to being a little bit more frozen, though not by much. It's a simple transition, but the air has gotten colder and there is less moisture in the air than with the wetlands. At this point, you're following a frozen and sludgy river that goes within two valleys. It's quite a marvel, actually. You've never seen any climate like this before.

You haven't encountered any civilization in a while. It is daybreak, and the sun is slowly rising. You can't even hear the others anymore: you've gone too far for them now.


"Mr. President, my authority to be the liaison for the Aecrocians was granted by the Empress. I left the shelter, and her guards caught sight of me. My uniform identifies me as a servant of the government, and a bit of... how do you say... improvisation led to her believing I am far above my station, a Vice Admiral, actually. In short, I was in the right place at the right time. Nothing more."

"As to whether or not she will accept another diplomat, that is yet to be determined. If I attend the next meeting, I may be able to convince her to speak with you, or some other official of your choosing. This meeting, with all due respect, is one I am expected at."

Arnequer
The President contemplates your decision. You can see a spark of curiosity in his eyes. You're not sure what the visions mean, but you have an idea that the President has had a bad past with the Theyin Empire. After what seems like an eternity, the President finally decides to speak to you.
"Very well. You will meet with the Theyin girl once more. After the closing of that meeting, you are to immediately report to me and I will assign another official to act as the ambassador to the Theyin Empire. I am impressed with your work thus far, Mr. Arnequer. You have kept up quite the efficiency with the Office of Health and Security. I expect to see this same efficiency manifest itself in this situation. We are in a crisis, Mr. Arnequer, and I would like to see our island returned to its past greatness.

"Now then, I believe..."
His voice drops off as he stares towards the front entrance. You look back and find that Empress Theyin is stalking towards you, quite irritated right now. You're not sure if she's here to confront the President, though considering her dilemma before, probably not. She has a look on her face that says one thing:
You have some explaining to do.
Her guards line up on either side of the doors. The Aecrocian guards are on edge, but they let her through. Outside, you can still hear the panic and explosions coming from around the island, but at this point nothing really bothers you that much. Besides, you're far more interested in what the Empress has to tell you now.

Create one single golem with 4 arms, that will be dedicated to making more golems. Feel the rock blocking the doorway for heat. If none exists, start pushing rock out of doorway. Get golems to help.

Get an ice pack if one is available from the fridge or whatever, try to cool this woman off with it if possible. It's a bit desperate, but you never know, maybe it could work.
