I'M BACK AND TIRED LIKE I'VE NEVER BEEN TIRED BEFORE!

Thank you all for being patient while I took a school trip for 3-4 days with no internet connection. I'm incredibly tired right now and have some homework to finish, but I will get the turn up tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

P.S. Lenglon and mastahcheese: Thank you for doing dialogue between another player that extends past one phrase per person. I do appreciate it. Harry, I will post more dialogue to you tomorrow morning.

Again, thank you for the wait. Have a good day everyone.

"I don't know anything at all. I was just watching the sea when somebody started to bomb the general vicinity of my home. I do question the longevity of an empire that seems based on tyranny, however. Why would your family die?"
"If they stay in the Middle Empire, they will be worked like animals until death. Nobody wants to admit it but the Middle Empire slaves its people almost as much as the Far Empire does openly. It's only the Royal Theyin Empire that treats its people, the aristocrats and the nobles, with luxury and-"
"That will be enough, Pirmai Kether." From the end of the alley, a very young woman with green eyes and hair smiles at the two of you. Anna freezes in place, not saying a word. The newcomer carefully walks over and pulls out a slim pistol from inside of her cloak, putting it to Anna's head. Although Anna has a rifle and could retaliate, she still doesn't move. "How much do you value your family's lives, Pirmai?" the cloaked figure asks. "You must obviously love them enough to put them before your own Empire," she says with a small laugh. "Is five generations of EMR labor too small of a punishment, or should I up the heat on your family a little bit more?" Anna starts breathing quickly, becoming agitated.
The green-eyed woman turns to you and smiles. "Oh, I see. You've found a lover, haven't you?" she mutters. "And what would your name be?"

She blinks a few times, seemingly taken aback at your answer. "Oh. Well, I cannot expect you Far Islanders to understand too much of the Empire. I am Empress Seira Theyin, the current ruler of the Theyin Empire." She turns fully to you and bows slightly, still having the pistol pressed against Anna's head. "Now, tell me. Why hasn't this Pirmai sent you to hell yet? Because, for all I know, this is full-on treason. And I do not take kindly to traitors."

Eh Ah chooses to genuflect before the Empress, which is presumably the appropriate gesture when somebody that important bows to you.

"I am truly sorry for not recognizing Your Imperial Majesty immediately. I would not have expected a person of milady's stature to take direct part in an operation like this."

He then raises himself back to a kneeling position, and continues respectfully.

"To answer your question, milady, Pirmai Kether has not killed me yet for one of many possible reasons. Firstly, it may be because she finds me and my situation pitiable, or myself somehow trustworthy, pleasant and unnecessary to kill. Secondly, it may be because she requires me for some functional purpose that I am not aware of. Thirdly, it may be because she sees the extermination of errant, harmless civilians in general unnecessary when they could just as well be put to work. Fourthly, it may be because she is an insidious traitor who wishes to enact personal vengeance upon milady one disobeyed order at a time. Fifthly, it may be because fear and oppression make for poor tools of control, and make her more desperate than obedient, up to a moment when she cannot help but snap somehow. I suspect many of milady's empire's less aristocratic soldiers may possibly have a similar problem of morale, as an aside. Sixthly, she may have just gone temporarily insane from strange toxins in the air and feels much better now that milady has so generously reminded her of her station and the possible consequences should she not comply with standard protocol. I am sure that Pirmai Kether would be a better person for milady to pose this question to, as I am poorly educated on such matters and hardly familiar with her general psychological makeup," he explains gently and without any venom in his voice.

The Empress smiles smugly, seemingly satisfied ((take that for alliterations)) at your show of respect. "For once, a citizen of Atis has the common sense to acknowledge his new leader. Up to this point, I've only received screams, vulgarities, and screams of vulgarities from the Atis citizens, who have been horribly misled by their own representatives."
You take your own turn to speak to Empress Theyin. As you speak, you notice something peculiar in the gaze of the Empress. Her mouth is slightly agape, and her eyes are now washed; before, her eyes were full of superiority and greed. You swear that you can see blue tint swirling into her irises, not unlike dropping liquid dye into a glass of water. As this happens, your head gradually begins to hurt, as if a pressure is centering itself in your forehead. You manage to keep your tone calm and peaceful, avoiding a possibly violent situation involving Anna Kether and Seira Theyin.
Once you finish speaking, the blue tint leaves her irises with haste. She seems lost with thought and is seriously considering your words.
She begins saying slowly, "I... I suppose I should talk to Pirmai Kether." She turns to Anna and, with more clarity in her eyes, asks "Pirmai Kether, why did you leave this Aecrocian... alive?"
Anna, still frozen, stutters. "E-empress, I... I don't.. k-kill. P-please, spare.. spare him."
Seira seems to have conflict in her eyes. "I.... will not." She shivers slightly and waits a few moments before talking again.
"Kether.... you have sixty... seconds. Run."
Anna, frozen for a few moments more, looks to you and mouths the words "Thank you." She slowly regains her bearings and sprints out through the door you both came from.
The Empress looks at you and thinks for a few moments. She quickly raises her gun towards you and fires a shot. It goes wide to your left shoulder, missing. By the look on her face, she wasn't actually aiming to kill you; rather, she seems to have mixed emotions. She walks out of the alleyway briskly, muttering things to herself.

TURN TWELVE: SHOW DOWN AND BUDDY UP

Get the desalination machine running, then make 1 golem to the best of my abilities. Make him as perfectly awesome as can be.
Rune didn't know why he had never made a golem before. He decided that he really actually liked these two guys, and as soon as the desalination machine was running, he was going to make a whole army of them. If only they were alive. That would be cool.
Rune
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)
((I was really hoping you would bring that up at one point. Doors opened, yay.))
You take the jugs and attempt to fill them with water back down in the well. Unfortunately, you notice that both of the jugs have cracks in them, so you head back up and cover the cracks with clay and set them to bake some more. You test the desalination machine and it appears to be working just fine. To pass even more time, you create another golem: this time, it is about half a foot taller than the other golems, and finely crafted.
You start wondering what it would be like if these golems could actually come to life. As you do, you gradually gain a headache that gets worse and worse. Eventually you close your eyes for a few moments, and when you open them, you'd rather prefer they'd stay closed.
As if from a dream, one of the two smaller golems begins to walk around. The golem walks stiffly, like a simple robot, but eventually  is able to move his/her arms also. (If you could even assign a gender to this golem.) He looks at you and waits. You move one of your hands around and the golem follows your motion with his own hand. Testing something out, you point to a corner of the cave, and the golem moves there slowly. With this, the pain in your head stays constant, so you decide to cut it out before your headache grows. The golem stays in the corner where you ordered it, moving its head to observe the area. Your pain diminishes, but there's still a constant pressure on your forehead.

Approach and greet hobo and jacketed man.
Warren Drake
You decide that the group of misfits are relatively harmless, so you begin walking over to the two who are left there. Apparently, the dirtier of the two is going off somewhere, talking happily to himself about some kind of plant. You approach the boy with the jacket and greet him with a tentative handshake. He doesn't seem too bad at first glance, though he has a curious sparkle within his eyes. Before you approached him, he was at work trying to build a fire. By the time you exchange formalities, the hobo has returned exclaiming that he'll help his jacketed acquaintance. You introduce yourself to him and he says that his name is Jorji Constanza. While he looks like he could use a clean-up, he seems of good nature and friendly enough.

You sit down while Jorji and the other boy get to work trying to light the fire.

Cecil mumbles to himself about foreigners or something, and continues at trying to make a fire.
Make that fire!
Cecil G. Palmer
While Jorji stumbles off to go find some plants, you attempt to make a fire. You reason that the wood should be dry enough now that it should be able to light. Despite your best efforts, however, the planks stay dark. You sigh and look up to the sky, which is getting surprisingly dark considering that there's a couple of moons out. You realize that the night sky is being covered by thick clouds. You pray that it won't rain, but you can't guarantee that it won't.
After you fail to create fire, a man comes up to meet you. He seems to be older than you, but not by much. He is wearing a loose beige shirt that has been belted at the waste, very similar to a tunic, along with coffee-colored pants. You realize that he's probably part of the Atisi to be wearing that clothing. You shake his hand as Jorji returns, saying that he's here to help you. He grabs two planks and begins rubbing them against each other, hoping to make fire. You sigh and go to help him make a fire, while the new Atisi guy sits down with you.

Maybe he knows what happened. Er, you hope.

Struggle against the ice to make it melt faster
Alex Raman
You attempt to struggle against the ice, but you are no longer in a boxed-in area. Instead, you are in what appears to be a mix of a snow-ice blizzard. In front of you are monstrous, towering giant shadows, making the ground quake as they move towards you. You begin running in the opposite direction, but the ice cracks below you and breaks. The ground can't take the stress of your weight and you fall through the cracks, with ice shattering all around you. You close your eyes and hope that you comes out of this alive.
When you open your eyes, you wish this was all a dream. You're falling straight out of the sky and headed for the ground below, with what appears to be a village down on the ground. You're freefalling at a dangerous rate: if you don't slow down, you'll probably die.
You wait in anticipation of the fall killing you. It's only a matter of time...
...before you crash into the ground and explode into droplets of water. Your conscious being hovers over these droplets, but your body has vaporized and is reforming quickly. The droplets of water all collect to form your body again, and you feel good as new. It's a freaky new experience, but at least you're alive. You notice that it's hailing above you very lightly. You appear to have landed on a mountain near that village you saw, but you can't see it through the fog. You try walking again, wobbly at first, but gaining your bearings soon.

"Jorji help!"
Assist whoever is with me with whatever he's doing.
Jorji Constanza
You forget about whatever task you were focused on before and spin back in the direction of your little camp to help out jacket boy. There is a new man along with the jacketed man, which seems suspicious at first, but you welcome him with open arms anyways. You announce your intention to light the fire with the jacket boy and begin to pick up two planks and attempt to light a fire. The jacket boy shrugs and walks over to help you in your task. The stranger simply sits near your activity and watches as you try to make fire.

Overhead, the two moons are being shrouded by darker clouds. You can feel a breeze pick up, which makes you shiver with the cold air that comes along. The girl and her friend haven't returned yet, but you still keep at it with the fire.

Cromwell Jackson & Lirian
Lirian stays at the ready in case Cromwell decides to pull anything funny while getting his kitten, though he doesn't seem to be prepared for combat or anything, so Lirian relaxes a bit. She moves to pick up the table and barricade the door for warmth once Cromwell enters the shack. Cromwell makes himself comfy in the left corner opposite the side that the doorway is on, with his kitten curling in his lap and licking his paws. Cromwell and his kitten fall asleep pretty easily, with the cold temperature not doing as much since the table blocks a good amount of the doorway.
Lirian also moves to sleep in the right corner near one of the chairs. She stays awake for a bit longer than Cromwell does, but she does manage to sleep. On the flip side of that coin, Lirian begins to dream again. This time, she is still located in the shack, but Cromwell is no longer with her, nor his kitten. Instead, when Lirian looks out the window, there is a bright afternoon sky, a light forest, and a meadow stretching out to and surrounding a volcano. You think you've seen this volcano somewhere before, but you haven't seen any meadows or forests like this before. (Okay, maybe the forest is similar to what you've seen before.) A nice, warm breeze flows through the shack, very different from the weather you were experiencing before your sleep. Out in the middle of one of the meadows, a girl is walking around, seemingly concentrated on the ground.

Danielle, that Medium girl you were talking to earlier. That's the one.

Look longingly at the fire, then head to the left, away from the breach in the wall. Keep an eye out for any patrols or individual soldiers wandering about.
You go to the edge of the wall and admire how the fire is slowly burning away at the forest, as odd as that may seem. The warmth and the varying paths that the fire may take comforts you. Many people may try to control fire, but fire can't really be controlled. As you look away, you swear that you can see the fire rise in response to your movement. You try to move again to see if the fire responds to you, though your attention is pulled away by the yelling of patrols down near the base of the wall. You couldn't see them before at the stairwell, but they have spotted you on the wall and noticed that you aren't the same person that went down that stairwell earlier. Several of the soldiers rush to get to the guard tower, while others back and start firing at you. You duck low to avoid the fire, but they have probably called reinforcements by now. Your options are limited, and you can't really run across the wall without being shot. You could try crawling, but you wouldn't get far before the soldiers make it to the guard tower and start climbing up that. You shoot a couple of rounds back in the direction of the soldiers and the ground and they scatter for cover. That fire really is intriguing you now, but you don't have time to admire the art of fire while you're being shot at by live fire right now.

"How very, very strange," Eh Ah says to himself, getting up and dusting off his knees.
Calmly and stealthily try to get out of this place - try to stay out of the open.
The only exits being the alleyway and the doorway which you came from, you decide to reenter the office building and go out of the front of it. There aren't any soldiers around, seeing as they might have mobilized to some other region of Atis, so you move around to the left and go down the street which holds more buildings.
You spend some time doing this, staying low and watching for guards as you try to make it near the bay area. Eventually you do weave your way through the streets and make it near the bay. You can see different landing boats on the beach from the soldiers who have invaded, which might give you an option to escape if they aren't occupying those boats at the moment. It's very dark at night right now, so you decide you'll find a building to stay in. You move to a residential condo near the bay and enter the unlocked doors. You move very carefully to the second floor, and freeze when you hear light movement. It's not so much of movement as it is shifting around. When you enter the doorway, you find  that a woman and two children have huddle up in sleeping bags near the corner of the kitchen. One of the kids is half-awake, mumbling to you, "Hello, mister..." He doesn't seem to be fully aware of you, however, and falls back into sleep.

Outside, it is nighttime, and the soldiers seem to have moved out of the surrounding area for now. You wonder what happened to Anna, but you can't worry about her now. You're rather tired from the events of today, so it might be advisable to finally get some sleep.

Rune was utterly terrified. How had he made things that would come to life? But... if he could, then he wondered... He pointed at the golem who had followed his orders, and made the golem stand to his side. He then placed clay in front of the golem and himself, and started making another golem, eager to see if the living golem would also create one too.

Make another golem, and try to have the living golem make another golem too.
