I'll go to DPH for a suggestion as to his turn, and then I'll post the next turn, probably late today or tomorrow.
NOTE: Turn is 55% written, DPH form has been put in, and homework is still piling up.

You command yourself with curt words and quick pace as you get up and look outside the window, yearning to know where in the world Danielle has transported you.
If she transported you, anyways.
The first thing you notice outside is the odd abundance of trees. While Atis island does have a sizable and quite dense forest, you have not seen trees sprawling across the land like this before. These aren't the same trees that are on Atis either, which rules out your possibility of being dumped back on the besieged island. These trees appear to be along the size and appearance that of conifer trees, with glistening, white snow sparsely covering the compact-but-wet dirt. The trees continue along rolling hills and the dark blue sky, signaling the resting of the day and the coming of the night, which probably means you should find shelter. Wait, you already have shelter. Food and water, perhaps?

After taking a few moments to scan the rest of the area for anything out of the ordinary, you move to the door and crack it open slowly. As far as you can tell, there is nothing moving around your vicinity, both in audible and visual range. Once again looking up, you judge it to be somewhere past sunset, with the brighter hues of the sky already leaving as the dark blue and violet tones start settling in. Cautiously, you step outside and scan the area. To your left is a dirt road covered with semi-melted snow leading out from the shack to some unknown part of the forest, and to all other directions, the forest sprawls out in quite a peaceful scene.


Close my eyes. Breathe as quietly as possible. Be still. If I am found, play dead.
Eh Ah
You try to make yourself as quiet as possible, so as not to attract the attention of whoever is moving through the building. Yet, you still hear more footsteps moving in your general direction. You pray to the heavens above that you are not spotted, because being spotted probably has Death following soon after. You see the barrel of a black, polished gun protrude from above the desk as it begins circling around to the other side. Only the few moments of time left stand between you and a bullet going right through your head.

The barrel aims in your direction and you find a soldier staring right at you through dark shades. Apparently your attempt to hide was left to fortune, and fortune did not reward you for your actions. You wait a few seconds, not breathing, waiting for the soldier to pull the trigger. Amazingly, however, the soldier does not shoot you and remains with the rifle trained on you, but does not fire. The soldier whispers quietly.

"Name, job, why you're here. Now."

You set to work molding some more parts again, due to the unsuccessful creation of the last few parts needed. This time, you focus and calm your mind in order to set yourself up correctly for the crafting of these new clay items. It appears this works extremely well: the clay jug and two of the cylinders turn out to be of a suitable quality for good use, at least enough to last lengthy while after baking. The last cylinder, however, turns out to be so well made that, at inspection, it does not appear to have any rough edges or smudges. It is absolutely smooth and has a nice, warm color tone to it.

Too bad it's just a cylinder and not something that actually requires detail.

You look around but do not find any mushrooms ready to eat except for the ones you've already replanted. You decide to nibble on one of them but leave the rest there for later. Your hunger is only somewhat repressed, but it should suffice for now.


Try to get to the water. " I refuse to be taken prisoner..."

You mumble out your declaration of refusal, which does not appear to affect much in the area of your current situation. Still, you struggle against the soldiers in vain, as their strength far outmatches yours. An odd thing happens, however. As you struggle, you feel an odd chill come upon you. You look back to the water and see white tendrils crawling up to the beach's edge, oddly out of place in the churning waves. Few soldiers actually notice this, and the ones who do shrug this off as an Atis island oddity.

The tendrils begin branching out and moving faster and faster. You can almost hear a cracking noise along the shore now, and little spikes of white begin moving vertically upwards. You hope that the soldiers don't begin noticing this, but you also hope that whatever this is does not come after you too. Because, for all you know, this could be some wild sea monster coming to eat your guts out.

We can hope, right?


"Darzensis? Or anyone else?"
Look for people/smart lizards. Or anything showing me what's going on, that would be nice.

You begin looking around for living things - in particular, a lizard who has not been so wise in leading you around thus far. However, you can't see anything living around the area you are currently in. Turning your attention to the scenery around you, you appear to be cradled within a small depression of moist dirt, surrounded by mangrove-looking trees on all sides. Getting out, you find a small, seven-meter wide stream slowly moving along. It looks somewhat dirty, but it's a stream nonetheless. The sky above you is getting somewhat dark, but you should still have time to move around.

After observing the area for a little while longer, you hear some voices not too far from you: human voices, at that. They appear to come from one of the two directions that the stream is heading in. It appears to be the one on your left, while to your right the stream heads off further into the swamp. The air is somewhat cold, but not cold enough that you need to worry about it. Darzenis has yet to show up still, but you can hear some quiet chatter among birds and insects alike. You can't see much that is alive and moving in your current vicinity, however. There are some small berry bushes around, but you're not sure that they're totally safe to eat from yet. The human voices continue from the left of the stream. You can't see much above or below you, as the trees are thick enough to block your vision outside of about forty meters on the horizontal plane.

As you feel much like a leader for giving the first order of a day, you trip out of the craft and land face-first into the sand.
Such elegance must be expected from she who arrives from a noble descent, right?
You pick yourself up, brushing the sand off of your face, as the mysterious man arrives around the area of your craft. He doesn't seem to be all that threatening, really. Rather, he takes on the appearance of someone who might have been stranded at sea for quite a long time. With ragged clothes, a plastic bag, and an unidentifiable piece of paper in his hand, he seems to be oddly joyful, despite having landed in a foreign place with foreign people. He comes over, waves to you, and greets you and your brother with quite a quick handshake. His hands are rough and dirty, but he doesn't seem to mean any harm to you or your company. You are still puzzled at the circumstances, though. Why would someone as unprepared and lost as himself land at around the same time as well-prepared citizens of a civilized island?


Get up, without disturbing the kitten, if possible. Look around and see if I can see anything of interest. If that fails, ask the panther where we are.

You manage to stand up without disturbing the kitten too much. He wakes up unfortunately, but he doesn't seem too bothered by it, and stretches out on the ground while mewing. Around you is a forest mainly consisting of conifer trees and spread-out areas of shallow snow. This seems odd to you, as this does not match the climate of Atis, where you and the felines were located previously. Quietly, so as not to disturb neither the kitten nor the panther himself, you ask where you currently are verbally. You are skeptical as to the actual effect of questioning a panther with your voice, but it works, for now. The panther lets out a low purring noise with his head on top of his paws, looking either quite disinterested or quite annoyed towards you.
Where do you believe you are?
Well, there's already one place you don't believe that this could be. Atis, of course, does not have snow. Not now, not ever, unless the military invasion somehow also guaranteed a different climate for Atis.
You must find out. This young one will... accompany you. Do not disappoint me. Find your way. The panther rises and, in under a second, dashes into the forest. You don't hear him anymore after he leaves your vision. The kitten, however, moves near you and nudges your leg with his head, purring softly.
You find yourself at the edge of a frozen river with a conifer forest surrounding you. The river curves around a hill and leads off into the distance. You cannot see much other than this because a mountain blocks your view of anything that would be over in the other three directions, not facing the river.
The kitten waits nearby for your input.


Sigh.
"I hate to sound condescending, I really do, but I am a Vice Admiral. No matter my opinion on your plans for this island, it is beyond my power to make that decision. However, I can bring this information to the people who do have that power. With your leave, I think this audience has reached it's conclusion."
Wait a moment to see if she is actually done, then if she is:
"Would you prefer to meet with me again, or a different diplomat for the rest of this discussion?"

Seira gives a sly smile. "I was hoping that I would see more out of you than simple compliance. You do bring valid points however. Oh, and the others with power? Well, there won't be many of those after this island is under my full control. Most of them are corrupt, and I have no reason to leave corrupt men in power. I admire honesty, Vice Admiral Arnequer, which you do seem to have a fair amount of. Retrieve another leader if you wish, as I'm sure your island has a separate governmental structure. I am able to wait." She smiles once again, arms still crossed, and moves back towards her guard, having the military leaders set up a perimeter around Summer Hall.

"I cannot guarantee, however, that I will be so kind with your other leaders, Vice Admiral. They are politicians, after all. What worth do you believe politicians have?"


Continue walking forward, greeting everyone I meet.

It's not so much of walking as it is stumbling forward and nearly faceplanting in the sand. Just as that lovely lady has done just now, actually! Fortunately, you are slightly more surefooted, and manage to keep your face from exchanging a greeting with the sand. You give a toothy grin and wave towards the party of four that has disembarked from their odd landing craft, and semi-waddle over to them now, introducing yourself to them. Them seem somewhat confused at their arrival. Maybe they are not used to people from other places visiting their own nation? Well, they'll get to know Jorji, that's for sure! Other than the lady who has sand on her face, you introduce yourself to a taller and more regal boy, another boy in a casual suit, and a fine gentleman in thin, metal armor, with a sword.

You search through the guard tower looking for anything that could be of worth to you at this current moment. You find:
-One (1) wooden crossbow, with seven (7) wooden bolts
-Fifty (50) era [Atis currency]
-One (1) lit candle
You already have a newly crafted sword with you at the moment, which you may exchange with the crossbow. You take the coins with you and you contemplate the candle. The fire seems to mesmerize you for a small moment, being very comforting despite the situation forming around you. You are currently located on the third floor of the walls, and above you is the outside area of the wall.

You hear people walking above you on the outside wall area, forcing you to take cover behind the stairs. From above, the door is forced open, and you see a Magis guard roll down the stairs, dead. The footsteps fall closer to the edge of the door above.

You look around to get an idea of where you have landed your boat at - rather, where your boat has landed you. To your right, you see a swampy delta leading inland, bowled in by a mountainous arch and other hills nearby. You can see bits of snow spread across the mountains, but not enough to completely cover the mountains themselves. To your left, the ocean busily mixes around, and in front of you, a man reminiscent of a hobo begins stumbling towards your little group. He seems rather excited to have landed on his little raft and to have found you and your acquaintances. He holds something in his hand - a bag, perhaps - and in his other hand, a little pamphlet-type paper that you can't recognize from this distance.

Meanwhile, the noble daughter of the Magis kingdom - who is, apparently, your fiancee - has just landed herself in the sand for some odd reason. After you help her up on her feet, the newcomer of a hobo begins shaking the hands of your party members, and introduces himself in a rambling matter.

Well, one thing you have going for you is that the weather is actually pretty nice compared to Atis. It's a bit on the chilly side, but it's still not too bad, and there is no wind to make things any colder.
Then again, you do have a hobo with you, so there's something to balance out your good fortune.


Too tired to write post-note...
Going to sleep. Tired. Need rest.

I'm not going to be able to sleep for a while anyway, might as well look around.
Circle the shack in slowly expanding circles, never letting it completely leave my sight. Move quietly, and hunt for small game I can bring down with my throwing knives. Avoid anything that would get me wet, but note water sources for later. After I've gotten my bearings, and preferably gotten some food though that part is optional, collect firewood from fallen branches and logs, and take it back to the front of the shack. once I have a decent-size stockpile to work with, start a fire in the shack's fireplace if it has one. if it doesn't, then start it out in front of the doorway, a safe distance from it so it wont catch the shack on fire, but where it will help retain heat in the shack. bank the fire with a couple large logs to help it last the night, and if I managed to catch any small game, then cook and eat it. Once the fire is going, and hopefully while food is cooking, take one of the logs and carve out a bowl with my combat knife. Fill the bowl with snow and place it by the fire to give me water to drink. refill the bowl with clean snow as necessary. after all this is done, THEN I'll sleep. While I work I'll be able to work through my concerns and plan out what my next things to do are, what my options are, and suchlike. Also, remain alert to any... oddities... regarding me and darkness. I mean, I've always had good nightvision, but still...
