Well, the Triune is a separate pantheon from 'the six'-my lore for it was that she rose not from the primordial soup of creation, but from mortal desires-sort of a second generation, there

Well my thread is open to play.

And technically I'll take one more player, assuming you get in before the group starts the mission.

I think including Quasi-Paraelementals is a bit much. The Qs and Ps are good enough, if already pushing it a little. I mean, I already don't expect the players to care about a minor god that controls/represents dust. After all, there's a reason those planes were taken out of the generic setting. The only relevant one is of mineral, and that's cuz it directly ties into your gods.

And Earth/Air and Fire/Water are complete collisions, and canonically nullify each other in violent ways, so I'd think only third generation combinations (Small Ones and onward) should represent those mixes.

Well, I suspect they'll care about the minor dust god if its cult comes up during an adventure. :P (note to self: come up with info on the cults of all the Facets because fuck yeah gratuitous fluff) But yeah, I get your meaning. We could just acknowledge that they exist, but they don't play a large role for people in Oasis aside from Mai, the Facet of Lightning, and maybe Magma or Radiance?

also that

I think that Gracewyn would be on friendly terms with the general population of the sprawl (not highly, but friendly nonetheless) since she typically works as a guard for the clinic and likes to fight gangs that roam around the place from time to time to keep sharp and practice her skills.

In an entirely platonic way I expect many of the grandfathers in the area (any that survived) would be fond of her. I can't explain why, it's just a feeling that came to me.

I like it, Dwarm.

Sorry for my absence, again, everyone. You should all just expect me to disappear every weekend, though, from here on out.

Quick question.

What kind of campaign, in general, are the other GMs running/planning to run? I don't want to overlap too much...

Quick question.

My own campaign is actually urban based, combat lite-though you probably wouldn't guess atm, most out and out combat in the city is avoidable by bluff, good perception, and a show of strength-I read a goliath warrior and a mini-skeleton army and scattered the thug encounter dice to the wind. Of course something, like the Splinterwaif my group just fought, would have much preferred they walk on past so it cold eat more innocent orphans. And they would have almost certainly missed it, if not for Zako's Nose.

There's an emphasis on information gathering to plan jobs beforehand, politics, diplomacy and factions. Players have to choose which sides they want to champion and ideally build up friends and contacts to help them when they need it. Loot and such isn't strictly in chests of gold and silver, since most of the people in the city are poor.

Most combat is indirect and unexpected-no large scale battles are likely. A knife in the gut while you're taking a leak behind the tavern is much more likely.

...

Also, I don't suppose there's any law against a GM of another game joining another part of the same campaign, is there? :P

I promise never to enter my own campaign as a player!

I meant more thematic overlap. No need to have two political-intrigue campaigns, is there?

Oh. I totally missed that...

Well, the theme of my campaign is 'the center must hold'. Generally, they've got to keep the city from being overwhelmed by chaos and disorder-or try to ride out the waves they create. I suppose they'd want to keep it from becoming a tyranny as well, but which is better...

It's ironic, I suppose-the cure for the apocalypse might be somewhere outside the totems, but if they ignore the city no one will live to enjoy it.

I'd be fine with other GMs entering my campaign.

Cool, thanks. :)

What area were you thinking of putting your campaign in, GWG?

It's funny, I'm trying to make a monk here...despite the lack of a campaign for one...thinking the ascetic feats are the way to go...

But I came across a quote that made me laugh.

Quote
A 20th-level Wizard can stop time (time stop), has the most powerful creatures of the multiverse at his beck and call (gate), and can literally create his very own demiplane (genesis). A 20th-level Monk... can use feather fall at-will, but only if he’s next to a wall.
