Oh crap, it is a homebrew. I didn't notice that.

If you really want I'll change it, but I really want to play a Tiny character for some reason.

I can't find it anywhere, but is it possible to by some kind of wire - such as one might use in a trip wire trap mechanism?

In my personal opinion, that looks like "MinMax, the Race", but that's just me.

I'd say it'd be at least a +1 LA.
Definitely. Possibly +2.

Heavy? Understatement of the year Remuthra, they need an UNGODLY amount to do so.
Not if the casters aren't trying to optimize!

(no burning of babies in public was amongst the conditions, for example).

You say that now, but the Children's Hospice is very unhappy with me. All I'm saying they didn't have it written down anywhere...

Could I have some advice please? I have a kind of melee rogue. Should I take improved initiative or two weapon fighting? My heart (RP) says the first and my head (stats) says the second.

thanks.

Well, which do you want to listen to more? There is no right answer in RP vs. Rulesy Stuff

There really is no right answer.

TWF is more functionally important-double the attacks for double sneak attacks-but II actually lets you hit before your foes, which allows you sneak attacks on flatfooteds.

I suppose you'd ask yourself where you are in the schema of melee considering your party. If you've got a lot of guys to help you set up flank attacks and take the heat off while you swing away, TWF is better. If there are not so many in your group and you might draw more than your fair share of aggro, you want to hit first and get in as much damage as possible before they react, and have some control over the battlefield-so then Imp. Initiative comes out slightly ahead.

It's a good question. I want to listen to RP more and will probably keep II. Just the thought of double melee damage in a party of midget casters is appealing.

ninja'd - yes, I suppose being fast in a party of midget casters who might not focus on setting up flank attacks for me is also appealing.

Remember, tho, your caster friends have minions and summonables. :P

I'd imagine Tealninja's skeleton butler troupe could help you out in this regard.

Again, what you don't take now you'll get later-maybe even next level if you wanna class into fighter-so it's no big sacrifice.

Well, being faster and smarter fits my character more than having more fighting skills, which he could instead grow into. So.

We very much so considered that point, to the tune of Shoot's Undetectable Alignment and, in time, a Ring of Mind Shielding.

I can confirm this. The arrangement works well with my character concept, and I will try to keep him on a leash (no burning of babies in public was amongst the conditions, for example).

Indeed, I can still use Ghoul Gauntlet though... right? :P

Nothing wrong with that; I was bouncing the idea around, too. ^_^ Let's see, consulting the big ol' Race Lists (not exhaustive), I get...

  • Jermlaine (Monster Manual II pg. 131):    -8 STR, +6 DEX, -2 CON, -2 INT, +6 WIS, -6 CHA; Speak with Rats.  Even rattier than kobolds.
  • Muckdweller (Serpent Kingdoms pg. 71): -6 STR, +6 DEX, -2 WIS, -2 CHA.  I...don't have this supplement
  • Petal (Monster Manual III pg. 120): -8 STR, +10 DEX, +4 CON, +4 INT, +8 CHA; tiny fey, 15 ft., fly 60 good, Weapon Finesse, DR 5/cold iron, Low-Light Vision, +2 LA.  This is what I really wanted to play, it's the closest to what you have right now, and especially for a sorcerer, just look at that Charisma and Dexterity; you even get a Constitution bonus.  However, a +2 LA means you will be effectively playing a Level 1 character in a Level 3 campaign until you get enough EXP to start buying off that LA.
Actually, the only reason I haven't switched over to Petal right now is because of the reach rules - a reach weapon doubles the distance you can threaten (5'/one square becomes 10'/two squares; 10'/two squares becomes 20'/four squares), but a tiny creature threatens zero squares by default.  A reach weapon doesn't let them attack adjacent squares, but instead still only lets them threaten their own square, which leaves lockdown quite difficult.  A shame, really; I'd love to play a fairy knight.

Actually, I clearly remember is said somewhere that reach weapons let Tiny creatures threaten adjacent squares. (And if it wasn't, I'd definitely let them.))

And kobolds are lizardy draconic, not ratty!

Ooh, time for a rebuild.  It's not like my sheet's been added to the OP yet, anyways.  Thank you very much. ^_^
