Vest of the Archmagi for one, is a +8 armor bonus to AC on the torso slot. While that may seem rather particular to the two 'of the Archmagi' items, my take is that the core material suggests a shirt could have an armor bonus to AC, alas it'd be 50% more costly than usual, due to the mismatched affinity.
But the affinity matches.

Why punish spellcasters by making them spend more on defense? O_o

I say let AC shirts/robes reign...

@Silcugar: Ah, can't wait to see what you come up with~

In other news, I'm going to drum out some starter quests-after poring through D&D cityscape-and will probably start my thread in less than three days.

Anyone who wants to specifically sign up for my part of the campaign, which is going to be centered in the dense urban of Oasis, do say so via PM or post. I'll only take a maximum of six however-and consider the other GM's too. :P

You need a very specific interpretation to claim an enhancement armour bonus is a 'physical improvement'. The one AC bonus that might pass for such is natural armor . Then again, the shirt slot is the very same one for armor, which may often enjoy said enhancement bonus, though one may as well claim those are inherent to body armor in the torso slot and conditional upon positive base AC. In the lack of a better ruleset for someone to present, it seems like more of a balance choice to be made by the GM(s).

I would prefer to start in the city, if that's ok with you. So please count me as signing up for your part.

Since Dwarmin was the one who okay'd Battle Sorcerer and the other DM's remained eerily.silent on the matter, maybe it's best I join his game as well.

But then we have two sorcerers in one party. Hmm. :/

I don't mind :P

I'll have to think of better quest alternatives then 'make all the monsters immune to magic' tho.

I would sign up, but the party looks more in need of some kind of tank than a druid :/

Unfortunately, the designated tank build wants to play in Tk's sandbox. No offense Dwarm, but I just can't resist the siren lure of having Tk as my GM. :P

In the backstory of my character, she was seperated form her guardian/mother figure. I was thinking she was given to someone else they met on the round to look after and take to oasis while Azure Swordswoman went and did something in the wastes, with the understanding that they'd meet up there. It'd explain why a tiny fey was adventuring with a party, at any rate.

So if anyone wants to discuss a possibly interecting backstories...?

I could revamp mine and flip over to the city party.  The critical salient point of Shamira's backstory are that she arrived in Oasis from beyond the city after the Cataclysm; most of the rest of it is subject to flux.  That also puts a tank in Dwarmin's adventure as well.
