Could do with some help on the character sheet. Making a lvl 1 char sheet at the mo.
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=707929

Questions:
1) How much HP does a sorcerer start with?

2) How I skill point?

3)What would be good spells to choose?

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/sorcererWizard.htm#sorcerer

HP is a roll of the hit die + Con modifier. Most GMs allow for max HP on the first level.

Skill points are at that link. First level for Sorcerers is (2 + Int modifier) x 4.

Spells depend on your build, but Sorcerers have a very limited range of spells. Thus, it's best to specialize (probably in combat) or to focus on spells that have a great deal of broad application. Magic Missile is a good combat spell (though I recommend getting another damaging spell as soon as possible since Magic Missile is so common there are counters specifically for that spell), and Charm Person has a lot of uses. Light is a nice spell, but it's not useful enough to a Sorcerer to devote an entire spell slot to imo. Mage Hand can be useful, as can Prestidigitation.

Spell list for Sorcerers/Wizards: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spellLists/sorcererWizardSpells.htm

With a negative con bonus, I'll stay at 4 max hp, right?

No.

You will, however, always have at least one hit point per level.

Ah, the infamously fragile sorcerer. Squishy squishy. :3

Don't worry, just stay behind us heavily-armored tank builds and you'll be juuuuuust fine.

Indeed. Although I'm less a tank and more a HULKSMASH build.

Are we doing random starting gold or the average amount?

I will literally die at the slightest hit. I am the definition of glass cannon.

Turns out being a foot high and 8lbs is not good for your durability.

I have put the finishing touches on the map and once I update Name Pending I'll return to explain it some. Ask away if you have questions about it now.

Seems decent enough.

Would it be better to have 2hp and 1 less AC    or     1HP and +1AC?

Looks like the totems have as much effect on geography as they do anything else. I'm not entirely sure why I didn't expect that. Only questions I have right now: What's the scale here, and any reason why the totems are so variable in AoE?

Seems decent enough.

You're very unlikely to be able to survive any hit with just 2hp anyway. Hell, you'll probably die if you step on a caltrop. Better to have a slightly better chance of dodging an attack than hope it only deals 1 damage.

I'm going to stand my ground on the level 3 thing. It hardly makes the campaign a high level one, given that there's a whole 17 levels left till epic. Given that this is a play-by-post game, it could be months, if not longer, until anyone sees level 4. I'd rather people have options and more varied characters at a whole whopping 2 levels higher (which, ostensibly, still probably makes them weaker than the captain of the militia in a small town), than have to wait forever to actually do anything.

...

I don't think we're going to agree on this, though, Dwarmin. So it either comes down to GreatWyrmGold siding one way or the other, or we can make a list of pros and cons for each of our sides, and put it to vote among the players. Your call.

Why not have Dwarmins's campaign at level 1, thatkid's at level 3, and then everyone can choose what level they want to start at? (I would take a party of whichever had more.)

That's a very diplomatic response.

I actually have no problem with it. However, there might be an issue if parties mix, run across each other, and so on.
