Some more activity in a month probably.

You rock. I'm in this crazy time where I earn most of my income for the year in one month, but my goal is to merge all outstanding pull requests!

(Although the lovely thing about git is that every repo is a first class citizen, so if I get hit by a bus you should assume control and go on without me!)

I'd check Splintermind's Github branch for now. It might be more to date.

So, I made a push to SWP a while ago.

What is the process to have a change accepted?

Are there going to be a few comments about it that I'll need to answer first, or will it be accepted one day into the main PJF branch?

Is this project even still alive? It's okay to admit it's dead. What I don't want Is to see everyone was waiting for me to respond somewhere and I'm holding things up.

your pull request looks just fine. i believe McTeellox is just extremely busy with work at the moment and hasn't had time to verify and merge the pending pull requests. i'm sure he'll get to them when he's got time.

Is SWP up to date with 4j? I can't find a way to tell what version of mwdf its running from in game.

I'm so confused, so what state is the patches based on (as of today's patches on march 29th)?  4i or 4j?

Will the new patched version include 4j?  Is there a way to update the patched version with meph's latest release and then re-apply the orc stuff that Splinterz/Meph were speaking of.  Better yet, go with what Meph was speaking about, the date he applied the beta version to his latest mod release (as a base), then post apply any gold patches after that point?

Then maybe meph can just post a link on his forum thread
i'm not really sure what this 'patched version' is; do you mean the gold branch of SWP? if you're unsure of what changes are in SWP, choose the branch, and look at the commits. the dffd version (4j) was replaced with a fixed version to include a few more missed commits.

the current SWP (gold) is even more up to date with additional fixes from ppeng. if you want to make sure you've got the absolute most up to date stable version, then it's the gold version you want.

Per this, I think the answer to your question is more or less yes.

the link to the patches posted on this thread points to a month ago.

however, extensive changes have been made on apr 29.

It says if I want the latest build just type

git pull https://github.com/ppeng/masterwork-dwarf-fortress gold

update:

I found

https://github.com/ppeng/masterwork-dwarf-fortress

CLARIFICATION:

is the link that should be sourced to on the first post

Would anyone have any idea why the launcher would crash on launch? Never had this issue before, turned off antivirus/ran in administrator and ran in xp compatibility mode with no changes. This is with all versions from their github page.

I had this problem while using the link in the post above yours. I deleted it and installed the default MWF, not SWP and that one is working fine.

sounds like it could be a .net framework issue, but it's impossible to know for sure without some error details.

You named your PC 'asshole'?

Also: can somebody poke PJF on his twitter and check if he's still alive?

looks like to get the latest build off the github website, you're supposed to go here

https://github.com/pjf/masterwork-dwarf-fortress/

for gold.

if I try to manually go to the url's in the 1st post, I get messages about not being update for 18 days on github with those links.

nevermind

update:

the problems I was having was following the link from the email

https://github.com/ppeng/masterwork-dwarf-fortress (is 18 days old)

when it says to do a

git pull https://github.com/ppeng/masterwork-dwarf-fortress gold

Update 2:
Morale is. Link to zips point to https://github.com/pjf/masterwork-dwarf-fortress/

But email updates point to a ppeng vs pjf in the url
