Been following this all along, has been fun. Keep it up.

Because he's waiting for the third-in-line to off the crown heir, then he'll kill her. It's what I'd do.

Reminds me of a fun old film about a ninth-in-line heir killing his way through the family tree.

Week 8: Stupid Snakes

We're almost ready to be an anime hero!

And lead armies? I'd say we're about ready to defend our kingdom against encroaching threats.

Aside from having no leadership or offensive capabilities, obviously.

Nonetheless, we agree with ourselves, and may now inspect the troops.

Excellent, another brilliant madman to laugh at and ridicule as he stalks off swearing revenge.

Remember, the treasury is not infinite. If you invest now, you'll have less money to work with later.
Awwww, can't I just raise taxes or renege on money I owe other people or something?

Stupid idea, it'll never catch on.

Interesting. Now if only I had the faintest idea how much a lassi/Iassi was.

Oh right! Accounting. That might have been helpful.

I also compared the lowercase l's and capital I's to determine just what our money is called, but it turns out they're the exact same character.

But then like, couldn't anyone have books? You can't let commoners have literacy, goddamnit!

I swear, it's like I'm the only one working to keep humanity moving forward.

Queens really need entirely too many skills.

Or more trusted advisers or something. Then again, maybe that's why Mommy's gone.

Well, what's another 800 years of darkness compared to our Queen's ability to outmaneuver a cat?

Of course, it could be that whoever eventually ends up on the throne is going to have to be better at staying alive than being a Queen. Snakes and all.

Apparently visiting the barracks makes us feel like a little girl or something. Dunno why that would be.

Maybe we're intimidated by all the soldiers?
Also, when I saw the thread title, I thought we were mortally wounded by a snake or something.

Production and Trade? I thought we were the Queen not the Demon Lord Crimson Scholar.

+1 on the Barracks, since we're heading that way to obtain !!Magic!! anyway.

Is the Crown the only source of investment capital in the Kingdom? We should be encouraging private banking before we go building printing presses anyhow.

If we're shooting for that regal attitude to get ourselves into the vault we'll need the right mood for it. Barracks all the way!

Weekend 8: A Little Tense

Ah, so the soldiers inspire us with their discipline.

And also remind us that if we fuck up at all like fifty people will die.

Also good to know.

I don't even remember what we're depressed about at this point (attending court, maybe?) but here we are.
